Yeah but pulling on some idiots wig is a far greater offense than beating the hell out of a woman. I mean it must be because Metcalf is suspended for 2 games and the Patriot players are free and clear to play as long as their season lasts.

 

Another thing that bugs me is this 2023 Shaq Lawson incident received no suspension, just a fine. Two games seems overly punitive given the precedent

 

I brought that, and the Lamar Jackson thing up earlier. Neither got a suspension, and yet DK got two games.

That's why Metcalf's suspension should've only been one game, two other players did the same thing and don't even get fined .

This is the one that bugs me. The Lamar Jackson incident is different. The fan slapped him on the helmet, and he didn't walk over just to confront a fan, but this is exactly the same as what Metcalf did. The NFL giving him one game would have been one thing, given Metcalf's history of hotheaded, violent behavior, but two was way out of line.

Then again, it doesn't happen, and the Steelers would have already punched their ticket to the playoffs if Metcalf hadn't been predictably selfish and stupid.

How is it Diggs and Barmore are not suspended but Metcalf is the day after? I guess thuggery outside of game venues isn't same.

 

The difference is that Metcalf's infraction was caught on national television. Everyone in the world can watch that video over and over again. There is no innocent until proven guilty. He committed his offense on live TV so he does not pass Go and he goes directly to jail.

 

There is no video of what Diggs and Barmore did.

Hopefully, the remaining players will overcome the stupidity of the organization and Metcalf.
