We talk about a "Tomlin type loss". But is this not setting up as a "Tomlin type WIN?"

Think about it. Regular season games everybody doubts them. Opponent is good not great. Team is a home dog. Backs against the wall. There is no Brady or Mahommes. We just laid an egg.

Tomlin teams tend to show up in these scenarios. I think we win. Might not be close.

If the Steelers win it will be an ugly 17-16 rock fight, the Steelers don't have the talent to beat the Ravens by more than 7 points.

These games are always settled by a FG or less. It would probably be better for my health if I would just skip watching it altogether.

No DK really ****s them over. if they play turtle ball its over, need to be aggressive, attack the MOF, send Muth down the seem, get him more involved. Whenever they feature Muth he tends to deliver.

Play scared, live in your fears you will lose.

And then if they win, they should immediately do something different in the playoff to lose it. :)

This game is going to come down to Henry vs our DL. If our DL wins this war, then all the offense needs is a TD and a couple of FGs to win the game. If Henry runs wild, then we stand zero chance, and that's even with DK and Washington in the game. We must force Lamar's arm to beat us. A lot of this will be how committed Harbaugh is to the run game as well. It's hard to beat your rival twice in a year, so my lean is towards the Ravens winning, but the Steelers certainly have a chance to win this.

I dont care. I like a coach that takes care of business and we wouldn't be in this predicament. This team has had a bad habit of overlooking bottom feeder teams. Been happening for years.

We’re good at backs against the wall games? Not in the playoffs seemingly.

im sure in that case Lamar will test our corners. Not going to be easy. I think we need a strong game from AR. And it would be real nice if one of our OLB’s had a big game.

at least the game is in Pittsburgh. That gives the steelers a slight edge. 55-45 edge.

The closer the game gets, the better I feel about it. If we win it will be close. Steelers just dont have the man power for anything other than a close win.

I will say, I'm glad Lamar is playing. He hasn't been himself since the injury. Huntley is much safer with the football than Lamar is. It might take a pick 6 to win this one.

I was very clear that my prediction was based on what we typically do in the regular season.

It'll be something like a 13-10 or 16-13 if we win. It's certainly possible. I thought Sawyer played really well in Herbig's absence and considering the Ravens will try to establish Henry early, Sawyer is the perfect edge guy to put out there to help slow down the Ravens running attack, even if its 3 edge sub sets they throw out there from time to time. Our edges and corners really need to shut down the zone read. In a race to 14, I like the Steelers chances in such an ugly style of football game, but if this becomes a race to 20 and beyond, we just don't have enough weapons to keep up and that's with DK and Washington.

I think we'll need a couple of breaks early to build a lead and the mess with Lamar. If it is close early, I don't like our chances of a fourth quarter miracle.

i think we can put up points against them. Even with DK out. AR had 284 yds against them a few weeks ago. I think that was the most passings yards he had this season. We still have two very good TE’s and a very good wr in Theilen if AR looks for him. Viking fans i know think we got a steal there. The wild card of course is AR’s age. Who knows if he can duplicate that again.

i like how the edges and corners have been playing lately. I think the defense will play well. Its the offense, they may or may not show up. I wish AR was 5 years younger…

Division in the bag so what does a Tomlin coached team do? Shìts the bed against the lowly browns - a Tomlin trademark. Late season collapse followed by a loss to a hated divisional rival to miss the postseason. That is the most quintessential Tomlin thing ever. Your optimism is noteworthy but don't be surprised when Tomlin kicks you in the dickhole.

Yep. Hopefully, this is like the Detroit game. Or honestly, like the first Rats game.

I thought there was no chance of winning that one.

I think we're all (rightfully?) remembering the playoff game and how we just got owned in a game that we (or at least I) thought would be a typical tight Steelers-Rats game.

Of course he is. His "injuries" seem to align closely right after the rats have a real clunker and they have a ready made excuse that Jackson's injury was the cause. It makes the drama for the NFL even more compelling for this game. Jackson wills his broken and beat up body onto the field to beat their hated rival in week 18 to win the division and make the postseason when they were all but counted out. A couple weeks ago, the rats had no chance, now they are about to beat the steelers the last week of the season thus winning the division and driving a dagger into their enemy's hearts. Everyone loves an underdog and this is made for TV drama. The NFL writers did a great job with this script.

Preparing tor the worst so hopefully I will be surprised.

Funny thing is my friends who are Ravens fans feel the exact same way.

Another 10-7 or 9-8 season. I’m shocked. Shocked I tell ya!!!

This is definitely the type of game Tomlin & Co. win. We were just embarrassed by the Clowns. It's at home. It's in primetime. Classic Tomlin win game. I think it'll be close and we have a very good chance to pull it out.

The thing that scares me is that it sets us up for the next typical Tomlin. Getting SMASHED in the first round of the playoffs. THAT is the Tomlin trend that needs to change. If we make the playoffs, at least make it a competitive game!

I don't think it matters really. Jackson or Huntley. Gameplan is the same for them. We have to stop Henry.

I guess you will just leave off that 148 of those yards were to DK, who will not be playing in this game. I know, no DK, no Washington, just coach them up better. LoL

With no DK, no Washington, this entire game will hinge on our defense because this offense is…
