To answer the OP, yes, of course it matters. Even if they did get in and lose in the first round, it matters, but this team could have done more than just get in.

Disagree. Rodgers had players open. Gainwell in particular. Rodgers didn't have a good game (or at least a game he is capable of having). Smith didn't help much with some terrible route concepts.

3. The #2 and #3 seeds lose their 1st playoff game.
4. Steelers host vs #6, and win in the divisional round.
5. The #1 seed loses their first playoff game to #7.
6. Steelers host vs #7, and win the AFC championship game.
7. Steelers win the super bowl.
