Ok my bad 3 of the top 5 pass catchers out. You do realize that Austin, Washington, and DK have the top 5 most yards out of our pass catchers. All 3 were out.

Even with video evidence showing guys open, I guess he thinks the coach said....Hey Rodgers don't throw to the open guy, we command you to only throw the deep " bomb", we designed this play to get someone open past the 1st down, but we don't want you to throw that one. Tomlin makes the key calls such as take the easy FG or go for it on 4th and 1. That is 100% him.

Rodgers is not likey to change a play call on 4th and 1. Tomlin knows little about offense and that is a big problem as he hires clowns for OC. Smith just okay.

quit talking out of your backside. You have absolutely no clue how likely or unlikely any quarterback is to change a play on any given down.the one thing you got right is the head coach decides whether to go for it on 4th down or to the fg.

Read what I wrote. No---I do not think in that situation a deep pass is the right call.

A power run behind your best OL run blocker with your best short runner or a short safe pass that travels two yards on 4th a 1 has a much greater chance of conversion than a long throw to a 3rd string WR. DUH.

Tomlin decides to go for it. A Smith likely sends in multiple plays to AR to decide on based on the coverage. AR ultimately decides the call and where to throw it. He made up his mind to throw the bomb as soon as the ball was snapped which was a bad decision. AR was dreadful Sunday.

What people are trying to get through to you is that neither Tomlin nor Smith mandated that Rodgers throw the long pass to Miller. Thielen was wide freakin' open in the middle of the field if Rodgers just makes the easy throw.

 

And contrary to what many post, that fan's review shows that yes, the Steelers do indeed scheme receivers open in this offense. No, it's not just "do what we do" every time and expect our players to outplay the opponents' players. There is actual scheming involved and everything.
