The app appears to be where it's at for them, as opposed to their site. I've liked the app's experience as well when I've used it.

 

Week 11 Recap

The race tightens coming down the homestretch....

My crew taking a loss to B&BP and TTF dispatching Soulkitchen has us locked in a tie for 1st in the Keeper League. Right behind is My Take and B&GP, one game back.

The cutoff for the playoffs sits below Blast Furnace and IRL, each at 6-5. The other six teams looking for a berth are all at 5-7, so no one's eliminated yet.

Nice to get a reminder of what Josh Allen can do for a fantasy team, 54 points

Over in the Superflex League Tweezer continues to pluck out wins, now 9-1-1 and two games up on Javvy.

Meanwhile the final playoff spots are up in air with six teams locked at 5-6. This could be a wild finish.

Finally, in the Standard League B&GP and Tweezer sit atop the leaderboard at 8-3, with three teams lined up at 7-4 behind them

Blast again guards the gate to the final playoff spot, but with two teams one game back and three others two games behind competition could soon come knocking.

Life's been busy lately, sorry for no updates. But congrats to all that qualified for the playoffs - here's a quick breakdown:

For the consolation brackets, I kept the Toilet Bowl option Sleeper offers. Each week the winning team is eliminated, whittling down to the last team to lose, and thus being crowned the king of the Toilet Bowl.

Championship Weekend!

Well, gentlemen, it all comes down to this - Week 17:

• Keeper League: IRL versus TTF...this should be a close one. Gibbs/Brown vs. Barkley/Williams, Nico/Pickens vs. Smith-Njigba/Johnston, McMillian vs. McConkey...hard to see either team having an edge, while both have players that can go off and take a game over.

• Superflex League: Gumby versus Tweezer...another good one, with some injuries that could come into play. Gumby has Burrow leading his group, which includes Pickens, Puka, and Kittle - who's nursing a back injury. A rebounding Godwin is also in the mix. Tweezer will hope Lamar is a go Sunday to lead the charge. He also has Achane, Nico, Egbuka, and Dak as his SFLEX.

• Standard League: BigNasty versus Bnat36...last but not least, BigNasty will be looking for his trio of Puka, Smith-Njaba, and Devonte Smith to lead the way behind a stiff Rams' D, while Bnat will counter with Achane and Cook, and hope an erratic Hurts brings his A game.

You did the same thing I did in another league - benched Purdy for another hot hand. Mine came down to the wire, but I had Bijon going on Monday night and he turned into Superman so I came back and won.

Congrats on two years in the championship game, though!

I believe that's two years in a row for TTF - one more and he's got a dynasty going. Close matchup in the championship game, where single digits determined the result. Unfortunately, IRL has the agony anyone who's played fantasy knows: leaving a ringer(s) on your bench.

Superflex League
Super Bowl Champ: Gumby
Toilet Bowl Champ: Thor

Gumby threw down 192 points despite not having a replacement for an injured Kittle in the finals. Chase Brown and Chris Godwin helped lead the way. Tough loss for Tweezer, as many of his guys had off-weeks.

Super Bowl Champ: BigNasty
Toilet Bowl Champ: Mashburn

Congrats to BigNasty hoisting his first trophy, winning out a defensive battle with Bnat36, who had a rough go of it when Hurts and Jefferson posted duds (and Green Bay's defense went into the red).


Thanks to all that played, and for those who took on more than one league so we could post 12 teams in each league. If anyone has any feedback, be it the platform, settings, whatever - let me know and I'll see what kind of tweaks I can put in next year.

One of the larger decisions will be with the platform. I've gotten a couple of complaints with Sleeper, but not as many as I thought. I think it comes down to whether you use your phone, or a tablet/laptop. If by phone, using their app, it's pretty slick. If by website, it's a bit vanilla. They get a big thumbs up from me with their draft interface, but I'm open to suggestions.

I'll be in touch with the Keeper League teams soon regarding the parameters involved with retaining players for next year.
