And that is why, no matter what anyone says, never having a losing season, and being in the playoffs 8, out of the last 11 years is not a easy thing to do.

No it wasn't. If You beat cancer you still will die, so basically you are just putting off the inevitable.
Is there a lie in what I said??
What I'm trying to point out is You keep trying until you can't, or you can lay down, and die.

People will disagree with me but Tomlin did an amazing job with this defense this year. They went into the season with a vision to play man defense with Slay, Porter and Ramsey. That whole scheme went out the window when they found out Slay was cooked. So they coached up Pierre who has had a career season. Found out Thornhill was not the safety they wanted so they wasted no time to cut him. Bumped Ramsey to safety to good success. They have given up some yards but their RZ defense is top 10 in the NFL. Sure, blame Tomlin/Kahn for the preseason roster but the changes they made to the roster on the fly were pretty impressive.

I agree with the improvement in the secondary. Tomlin deserves some praise for the improved secondary... but the run defense has been atrocious against team with a good running game. The DL and ILBs are consistently getting torched and abused. Steelers are one of the worst ranked teams vs the Run.

If Ravens get blown out there is a chance Harbaugh gets fired. If we get blown out there’s a chance Tomlin gets extended…

The only thing that matters is Pittsburgh PA booing the HC at every chance until he leaves or is fired or some mutual split BS. He is a coward who turtles up in big games and never has his team prepared for the moments that matter.

I don't believe it. Sunday's game vs Derrick Henry will prove how awful Steelers defense is against the run. Harmon is the only player Steeler should keep on the DL for 2026. Black and Benton are not very good and Heyward needs to retire.

Again to say this suggests that there are historical evidence that every one else would be fired, yet nobody can show me one.
So what you should actually be saying is .....I believe he should be fired, not other HCs in his position would or have been. Otherwise you could point to these HCs, and yet I've searched, and searched, and can find no HC that has been to two SBs, and never had a losing season, and was fired, not one.

I believe the chances vs the Texans are slim. I think our chances vs the Ravens are better than vs the Texans. Whether in the playoffs or regular season.

If we win the 4th seed on Sunday, I don't have confidence in beating the Texans the following week.
If the Ravens win the 4th seed on Sunday, I don't have confidence in them beating the Texans the following week.
I don't have confidence in the AFCN to represent well this playoff season.

If that means something deeper to you than it does to me, run with it.

Henry had <100 yds rushing in the last matchup. And that was without Harmon.

It was a gamble with a 42 yr old former champ. It would either work very well for a year or he would fizzle out due to age. Its looking more like the latter is occurring. It was a cheap gamble but a gamble nonetheless and a short term one at that. I know i sound like a broken record but Sam Darnold wouldve been the right bridge Qb for us. Young and good enough to give us a shot in the playoffs and able to stick around until we found our franchise Qb in the draft.

However I feel we will be in the mode of addng weapons on offense adn once again allow the DL to be neglected. We don't have complimentary football at all. We keep haveng one side or the other in need of serious talent replenishment. Watt will now be too old and heyward will be done and the DL needs run stoppers and guys who can demand multiple blockers however now our WR room and likely QB room will need fixing. We can't get both sides in good shape. Missing on drafts kills and if B jones becomes another miss that hurts once again.

I am just done with Mike Tomlin being the Head Coach of the Steelers. He is outdated and not good enough, a defensive cheerleader coach in a league that now requires offensive innovation.

Does it matter? No. It doesn't. Tomlin will never win another Super Bowl, nor will he develop the next QB. The non-losing season is meaningless; they don't hand out trophies for those.

The Steelers should move on, find a new Head Coach, draft a QB, and rebuild this team, but chances are they won't because the owner is a co-dependent, cuck coward.

Firm believer in the theory of any given Sunday. That being said this team under Tomlin has historically started each game in the negative simply by not addressing the team they are playing. Tomlin's faceless grey people comment springs to mind. Can they go deep? Yes anyone can. Will they? Remains to be seen.

Might be a useful observation that the NFL has been hiring defensive coaches lately and the trend of once going to get copies and coffee for McVay or Shanny leading to a job has fizzled out.

But that might not be anything relevant.
