In other words he was an open player free to be picked up. The Vikings, if they have a good GM, likely called all teams for say for say, a 7th round pick for Theilen. There were no takers. None.

So we picked him up on the street. It could have been for hours on the street. If the Vikings had use for Adam, he remains a Viking.

HA, HA. Okay. I'm sure you have numerous examples of when I made something up. They are ......

I do not like Tolmlin for reasons I have listed before.

You are a Tomlin lapdog. Be careful not to get your other dogs jealous.

Are you ok? Did that contortion hurt your spine? There is nothing wrong with saying you're wrong no need to become a pretzel in order to maintain choosing the wrong ground. Your original comment made the point that the Steelers could have picked up Theilen off the street at any time since the start of the season. He wasn't. The Steelers put in a waiver claim when the Vikings released him. Post trade deadline. How would Tomlin go about getting a player off the active roster of another team 3 weeks ago? Im quivering waiting for this contortion. Please share with us the hill you're going to die on.

The Vikings tried to trade him and cut him when no trades were accepted.

I think the picking up of him had more to do with Khan.

If the Steelers wanted to trade for Thielen 3 weeks ago they could have acquired him sooner.

But as it was 20 teams had a shot at him first.

Well for example you made up clearly false information in this post

And everyone on this board except you knows what it is

So two questions Joel and see if you can be honest

    What grade are you in

What was your previous login name(s)

See @S.T.D@S.T.D here is another one who doesn’t comprehend the question and moves the goalposts to a different discussion

They didn't pick up Thielen a long time ago because he was still on the Vikings , you do realize he only became available because he asked to be released stop making crap up.

I don't see a problem with counting on him to make maybe 3 catches, nobody was expecting Miller to have 3 receptions against Detroit.

In a game where we were desperate for a WR, Wilson couldn't even get on the field. Anyone who still has hope for this guy is delusional.

Khan has been absolutely horrible at building the WR group

Yep, an absolute disaster. They got Mike Williams and threw to him about 4 times. Everything Khan has done at WR has turned to ****.

To be fair, Pickens was on the roster. Some people in the organization wanted to get rid of Pickens because he was a malcontent, lazy, crazy, etc.....take your pick. My guess is that Khan wasn't the guy that wanted to trade his best wide receiver and a guy that ended up being a Pro Bowl player and one of the best WR's in the NFL that was an explosive addition to the Cowboys for a can of kidney beans and a sourdough roll.

It seems another team and coach figured out how to use Pickens and got the most out of him with a quality wide receiver on the other side of him. Funny how nobody here was able to figure that out, but everyone wants to blame Khan. Pickens and Metcalf could have both been on the field for the Steelers this year if they chose that path. I don't believe that was Khan's call and that other forces with the team made that decision. Also, said Pickens was a knucklehead, so they paid Metcalf 30 million dollars a year with huge bonuses to get suspended for multiple games, may help to cost this team a trip to the playoffs, and he isn't anywhere near the player that Pickens is.

The coach determined Pickens wasn't worth the trouble at a fraction of the money, but Metcalf makes a terrible mistake that may cost the team everything.....and they are now going to honor Metcalf's guaranteed money after his boneheaded move.

I graduated a college and have 4 year degree. What do you have?

Not that it matters. I do not waste time on pissing contests in general.Let me guess you think you know more about football and the Steelers?

Wilson was hardly used today and the WR’s who were targeted all had poor days.

We lost to a bad Browns team that started a rookie Qb.

Not saying Wilson would have been any better, but could he have been any worse than MVS.

Didn't look like he knew the playbook or the routes.
