Art II is content and that's the only opinion that matters.

He wasn't qualified for this, a theme which has been repeated throughout his tenure with coaching hires.

This is the most likely scenario. The Ravens will come out swinging since they got life put back into them with us dropping an inexplicable game to keep them alive. We will come out flat. Might be over at half.

I wish Swan were coaching this team against the Ravens next week instead of Mike Tomlin.

I understand the frustration, but its not true. You don't just luck into not having a losing season. He's not a DEI hire... He was qualified, he just isn't as good of a coach as his reputation in the media says he is. He's better than a lot of coaches... He just isn't a high end coach. He's good, but that's it. He can keep a struggling team alive and drown a contender all the same. Unfortunately, his downfall is that his teams crumble when the lights shine the brightest. He won 5 of his first 7 playoff games (including a SB), he's been 3-9 since. We're always close, but just lack the coaching necessary to get us through the post season. There's a reason why the greats all win in the post season. The best coaching shines. He's just not that caliber of HC.

I want him fired all the same... but I am also not blind to his accomplishments. The team needs a new direction. If we lose next week to Baltimore it would be a travesty to see him at the helm in 2026.

Not losing is good enough, even in the face of not winning....

I know things look bad right now, but I think the Steelers will beat the Ravens next week, and might even win a playoff game for a change. Tomlin will be on the hot seat otherwise, and he always seems to find a way to skate away clean as a whistle. They don't call him "Teflon Tomlin" for nothing.

You say that he’s not a DEI and that he’s “good”. Can you tell us what makes him “good”?

The fans who applaud this non losing nonsense are as much a problem as AR. Everyone at the game Sunday should let ownership know how we feel. Boo this man at every event boo him at the grocery store boo him out of the city.

I bet they don’t beat the Ravens and I also bet that he won’t be on a hot seat. Our owner sucks.

Unless the Ravens completely **** the bed, I think the Steelers get dog walked just like they do every playoff game in the last decade. (This is essentially a playoff game).

Its really simple... Bad coaches don't last nearly 20 years in the league without it falling apart. Pro sports is too hard to get that lucky for that long. I get he's had good teams, but even good coaches with good teams have a bad season, or injuries, or whatever... He's won a SB and been to another, he's never had a losing season in nearly two decades of coaching. That isn't luck and you can't take it away from him. There are a lot of good coaches that would kill for his resume.

My argument is that he is a pretty good coach and massively overrated at the same time. He's not a great coach, and really he only wins when he is surrounded by other great coaches (something we haven't had here in over a decade). Ownership bought into Tomlin being the main reason for our success and gave him too much power. Now we're just treading water.

I am in full support of firing him if we lose to Baltimore next week. Make no mistake about it, just because he is good... it doesn't mean his job is safe forever. We haven't won sh!t in a decade. Simply not losing isn't good enough when you're not winning.

They might be better with Snoop. When he plays Harbaugh relies on Henry more like last night when he ran for over 200 yards and 4 TD's. With Lamar, Harbaugh tries to have him as the focal point of the offense instead of just giving the ball to Henry.

I agree. Huntley or Lamar, doesn't matter when Henry will pound the Tomlin defense like a cheap government mule.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers win next week. The Ravens coaching situation is just about as bad as ours, some of their fans would argue it'a even worse. This team is also extremely inconsistent and is seemingly capable of playing above average in certain games and situations, while flopping hard in others – either playing well when the expectations are low, or playing poor af against bad teams that most would expect them to beat. You know, the typical Tomlin-era stuff. If this team does actually manage to win, they will embarrass themselves in the playoff. Which would, again, be the standard outcome in the post-Cowher's Personel, Tomlin Era stuff. It's hard to care, either way. I mean, I hope they defy expectations and win out, but at the same time, let's be real – a loss next game would probably be the more mercificul outcome.

I would pay to hear a Tomlin mic'd up, live and in real time in a game to see what a football dolt he really is.

We should have broomed him long ago.

Art Rooney II, your " Rooney rule " hire is well past his expiration date.

Either make some changes starting with firing this clown, give full control of the team to your son, or sell off your position to someone else as majority owner.
