When people say scripted...don't think movie or wwf, think little adjustments or steering by officials, and it really is easy to see that the NFL does what they want to get the out comes they desire.

A week 18 win-and-you're-in game between AFCN bitter rivals with 2 head coaches who are past their sell by dates and on the hot seat if they don't make the postseason? That's good football for TV that makes good money for the league. Of course it's what the NFL wants. The question is how far would they go to make that happen? We are talking about an entity that is worth around $250 BILLION. It would be foolish to believe that the NFL wouldn't tip the scales to make more $$$.

Exactly. Not that the outcome or score is predetermined, but a call here a call there to keep it close.

Look at the Dugger PI - that was a 50-50 call. Sure the Steelers won, but would it have been unrealistic to think the first OPI in the endzone to not be called? Again, that's a 50-50 call. Why did the Lions eschew the run when they had 1st and goal at the 1? Coaches love analytics so much that they go away from them in the deciding moments of the game?

All the folks that complain weekly about the refs - get ready for it today. Steelers need to put the game in a spot where the calls won't matter.

Hard to explain all these things to just random chance (Pats/Seahawks SB - nah, don't run Lynch at the 1, Pats-Falcons SB - completely forget clock management, O'Donnell to Larry Brown - just a misread....., Belichick benching Malcolm Butler for the Eagles SB, Vanderjagt missed that badly???? - missing is one thing, but that was brutal, Bettis fumbled only 41 times in nearly 3500 touches - good hit by Brackett - of course, if the Troy P INT wasn't "overturned" does it matter......

    Really? Prove that.
I don’t know if I’ve ever complained about the refs. And if I have it was maybe a couple times so definitely not more than anyone.

A player throwing a game so a bookie make $$$ is a far far cry from an entire league being rigged. Not even in the same solar system

Prove that my statement is ridiculous.

It's an opinion, and just like ***holes, everyone has one.

You don't agree with my opinion, fine.

    I don't agree with yours.

And you've "never" complained about the refs. Certainly welcome to think that if you'd like.

I think I'd have more luck arguing logic with my cat than with a conspiracy theorist.

    Enjoy the game all

I wouldn't bet this game with any of your money, including DTR's.

Is it really that hard to believe a team that has lost 5 of the last 7 games in Cleveland won't lose today with the NFL looking like a 4th preseason week in Week 18?

I hope the Steelers win, but not expect too many calls to go their way. Just look at the DK suspension, was a suspension warranted - certainly (although it can be argued why given some others not being suspended) but 2 games not reduced to 1? Come on.

The fact that it’s never been proven that the league is fixing games makes it ridiculous.
Your opinion is dumb and baseless.
I’ll wait for you to prove that I complain about the refs more than anyone.
    And who said never?

It’s one thing to have an opinion based on evidence, logic, and critical thinking. It’s entirely something else when it’s based on ifs, buts, candy, and nuts

The game is here for the taking. We should beat the brownies handily even without DK. If the steelers dont win they have no one to blame except themselves.

btw, that fan that got into an altercation with Dk goaded him into it. The guy has a track record and knew what he was doing. Total a-hole

Steelers have a chance to win the division and knock the Rats out of the playoffs. I think we win big today.

If the fix is on, why didn't the NFL fix earlier games so that Christmas day games weren't so unwatchable?

    Yinz are too paranoid.....

    Paranoia
is a pattern of thinking that involves intense, irrational distrust and suspicion.

All it really would take is 1, maybe 2 refs calling (or more likely, NOT calling a penalty) Think about all the calls late in the game that they let slide in the first 3 quarters. Or, a PI that was PI in the 2nd quarter but is overlooked in the last two minutes?

6 teams have a spot in AFC. We win today the AFC has it's 7 Playoff teams. NFL won't be happy. NFC has 5 spots filled.

Since you decided to sling insults, are you that dense or limited in reading comprehension?

You said "I don’t know if I’ve ever complained about the refs." That's the same as saying I've never complained about the refs.

Simply because something isn't proven (yet) to you, me or the general public doesn't mean it's not true.

Barry Bonds has never been proven to take steroids......
OJ was never proven to have killed his wife and Goldman.......

And BTW - the Steelers lost - doesn't prove that the NFL fixed the game, but it proves more more than your insufferable insults.
