The only game that will (may) matter in week 18 is the Steelers - Ravens. With the way NFL scripts things, you just get the feeling that a SNF game is coming with DK Metcalf.

I put $500 on the Ravens tonight. First substantial bet I’ve made in 25 years. Sure, I think Harbaugh needs to go—just as I think Tomlin needs to go. Doesn’t mean I don’t think they’re both great coaches. Simply means both Ravens and Steelers need a change. Both coaches would attain new head coaching positions elsewhere—easily.

Anyway, once DK foolishly and selfishly got suspended for the remainder of the regular season, I was already sweating bullets. Factor in Minnesota beating Detroit resulting in Green Bay clinching…I knew they still had something to play for, albeit a long shot. Point is, I knew Green Bay wouldn’t show up enough Sat night. Props to Malik W for ballin his a** off though.

We’re no shoe-in to beat Cleveland Sunday—especially, with a depleted WR core. Nothings ever easy when your a Steelers fan, which is why I was so pissed that the national and local media was already acting as if we were all but in the big dance. I still think we beat Cleveland but it’s certainly no lock.

EDIT : Btw, I was still rooting for the Packers in this game. I simply put myself in a position in which I couldn’t lose.

    Browns ML is free money.

The NFL can’t have the Steelers clinch the AFCN in Week 17 and make the Week 18 Ravens @ Steelers game meaningless. Especially after Derrick Henry’s monstrous night. Expect the Steelers to play sloppy while Shadeur Sanders looks elite and the refs to constantly give the Browns favorable calls.

Can you imagine how many people would have to be involved to script the NFL. And could you ever imagine they'd all keep their mouths shut.

Sadly, I do believe that the NFL has to have some meaningful week 18 games and I have a strong hunch we will be one.

I have two family members that as soon as Ravens won they put money on the Browns.

It’s truly amazing there are people that can walk and talk and still believe the nfl is scripted. You’re trying to tell me out of all the players, coaches, trainers, referees… not a single one ever told their wife or girlfriend. Never got hammered and started talking. Ended up broke and wrote a book telling all

If I were a gambler, I’d put money on the Browns today. This is just the kind of situation where the Steelers of recent vintage fail to get the job done the easy way. I don’t want to feel this way, but I’ve been conditioned to by recent experience.

I have to believe the Referee points of focus are driven for what they want to see out of the games at least. Last week it seemed they all had a package emphasizing OPI. Several games were that was called that were key games. Very rarely do you see it called what 4 times in one game? Can't get a read on this week yet, but from a few games I had on in the background, looks like they're letting some Olines get away with a lot.

Not just all that. Consider the players on the field putting their health and longevity at risk week after week, year after year but with knowledge that 'we're not in the script to win it all this year'?

Also, was the Lions last play last week really scripted to give the Steelers the win? That would be some creative writing.

Yes we have seen this movie before.

The NFL would like nothing more then a showdown for the North next week.

Scripted? This isn't the WWE. Although I do believe some players have been bought.

Hopefully it's not a Bags Tomlin stinker...

Here is a taste of some game fixing from a whistle blower.

I don’t think it’s scripted but the NFL can certainly have refs call games a certain way to try and get the outcomes it desires. Plus with the amount of money in NFL games 1 off scenarios with a ref or player being bought is absolutely within a realm of possibility. It doesn’t have to be this outrageous WWE script.

So, St. Brown knew he had to push off to get the OPI so the Lions wouldn't win.

It doesnt take much to affect the outcome of a game. It's way more subtle than than that. Think how much that ticky tack holding call that negates a big run affects the game. The NFL can keep games close, and even determine outcomes just by the way the game is officiated.

The entire sports media complex (NFL Network, ESPN/ABC, FOX, CBS, Prime) and the NFL want the Ravens vs Steelers game to matter next week. The refs will do everything they can to tilt this game for the Browns. So be ready.

    100%.

It's win tonight or bust IMO, and another epic end of season collapse.

When the schedules came out the week 18 games were supposed to all be meaningful games with the playoffs on the line. Looks like they got a few right.
