I remember that. Bullet went in his buttock and out the thigh of the opposite leg, by good fortune missing his….. “vital organs”.
Not sure if JPJ was conceived yet. An inch or two higher and the Steelers might have a different cornerback.

Well, part of the reason is they rarely use first round picks on CBs.

Who hired McDaniels?! Surely wasn't Jerod Mayo. Furthermore, while the GM and Head Coach often work hand in hand, final decision on roster construction is the HC. Vrabel already had done so in Tennessee with Ran Cathorn. I doubt he'd switch it up when heading back to New England.

    Okay;

Tomlin didn't have as much success with Big Ben as Sean did with Drew Brees.

I, along with others, have already discussed why Vrabel was canned.

For Dan Campbell?! Taking the laughing stock of the NFL and transforming them into thr number one seed?! That is nothing?! When's the last time Tomlin accomplished that?!

Finally, as for McVay, that is, once again, called good coaching. Not in terms of game planning but in terms of roster construction; something that is undervalued when it comes to evaluating coaching.

Whether it is liked or not, Tomlin doesn't stack up to any of these coached period; doubly so since 2017. No one is putting the cart before the horse here. What seems to be the issue is your reluctance to critique Tomlin in comparison to his peers.

    Three words.

    Amy. Adams. Strunk.

She is the owner. This has now been brought to your attention multiple times over. Whether or not you want to accept that is personal.

Burns didn't work out unfortunately, but Porter was essentially a first round pick (technically a second rounder, but pick 32). Glad he's turned into the player that he has.

Joey Porter Jr. had zero business falling that far. He was a Top 20 pick at worst heading into his class. The whole aspect of him being too grab happy while stating that he will never get any better than he is due to that was silly.

It was the Titans GM who wanted to do that trade.

What the heck are you talking about Tomlin and Ben went to two Super Bowls and three AFCCG, Sean and Brees couldn't even avoid losing seasons. How many wins does McVay, Campbell and Vrabel have against Tomlin?

That GM, Jon Robinson of the Titans, was forced by Amy Adams Strunk to do so. There are already reports of this that confirm it.

Fair enough regarding Sean and Drew having the lesser accolades in comparison. I was wrong there.

Regarding the rest?! Congratulations on Tomlin posting a winning record versus each. Each of them have had more playoff success within the past five seasons than Tomlin has had. Whether or not Tomlin has a better record in head to head is irrelevant to who has been proven to be the better of the aforementioned within the previous five seasons.

Still more Playoff wins than Tomlin since the day he was hired.

Sean Payton is another head coach that I would loved to have in the killer b's era...And he had so many bad luck in the playoffs, more that any other coach in the nfl in the 2010s,like 2011,2017 and 2018...And the saints are the only team from the playoffs format from 2002 to 2019(4 division per conference and 6 playoffs team)to have a 13-3 record but not have a playoffs bye...and it happened twice.Bad luck like crazy

For the 7-9 seasons, the saints defense were as bad that the current bengals defense in those years...You can blame on him if you want for that but when their defense was just average they were contender

With the broncos, this is just great coaching. Before 2023,the broncos were just a dumpster fire but he make the playoff last year with a rookie QB and this season they are in the first seed right now with a second year QB who is up and down

The next few seasons will be important but in 2021,the lions were in complete rebuilding and they were not that bad despite their record. They were competitive almost every game

He still don't think that McVay is a much better HC that the version of Jeff Fisher at the end!

Just goes to show that picking good coordinators is one of the HC's most important decisions. Get it right and the team can see near instant success. Get it wrong and it's several years of mediocre inertia driving the team. Tomlin has been hit or miss with coordinators, with some bad misses lately.

Would be awesome if HCs were the only people to be involved in that, but they aren't. If it cost money, the owners, and GM are the final ones involved.
So I can't blame that all on Dan Campbell , or any other HCs that isn't also the GM.
