And yes it is happening here more than it ever did
    I watch serial killing shows
Does that make it acceptable if I become one?

Unlikely to happen unless they want to get rid of him.

PFT reported the contract as 2/$60M with team options for remaining years. If they opt to keep him for next season (very likely at this point) that is $25M of the $45M reported. 2027 has $20 million injury guaranteed so only becomes relevant in the case of serious injury. A bunch of the other contract money is roster bonuses so only gets paid if he is on the team.

Frankly, in this offense DK is a luxury the Steelers can't afford in any case.

Parting with D.K. is essentially null and void not just from a cap savings aspect but a talent based one as well. There really isn't a Wide Receiver at present that can fully replace D.K. on the Steelers as it stands. Even if the Steelers do elect to draft one, in Round One, in next years draft, there is still going to be an adjustment period for said Receiver. If it isn't a Receiver and it is Quarterback instead, D.K. is, by default, a requirement for that QB to have as many weapons at his disposal as possible.

Swann and Stallworth didn't play in an era of the big money contracts for receivers and there was no social media ;).

Or you can do what the Steelers did. Decide you want to trade away your extremely talented but selfish, immature jackass. In advance of that, trade a second-round pick for another selfish, immature jackass, then dump the first guy for only a third-rounder. Be surprised when the new guy potentially tanks your season by getting suspended for two games for....get this....behaving like a selfish, immature jackass!

    Brilliant!

Thanks brother! That helps a lot to understanding it's only going to matter if we tell him to go kick rocks.

So , my question is, how do we stop this behavior?
    It’s running rampant
    No discipline
    No consequences
    It will continue

    Nailed that one STD.

Each generation gets more and more "Me, me, me" and that is 90% upbringing at the village level. I mean that it's not just parent input, but friends and teammates who had various levels of good/bad/vacant parenting.

Money not being as great meant the job meant more decades ago (pre-80s/90s). A player couldn't afford to get cut 3 years in, they still haven't made much of anything at that point and will still need a real career if football leaves you behind. That meant more focus and more team oriented.

One other aspect, Noll didn't put up with crap...at all. Tomlin does, but gives it lip service. The we talked, we're good or they know what they did, won't happen again (only to happen again). Etc.
Now, THAT said, Noll and the NFL, if I am recalling correctly had bigger rosters and could afford to be blunt and no-non-sense due to depth. They didn't worry about cap hits of course, so that too helped. A 53 man roster, and with already marginal depth, a coach and GM have far less leeway to be "get out" or "my way or the highway"

    No consequences?

DK is losing 0.5 mm. I used to liston to Ramon Foster's show. And he said that fines and lost wages are the biggest stick a team has.

And he's now ****ed if he gets a serious injury (used to have next years salary fully guaranteed and the following season guaranteed for injury).

    And about being ucked
    Did it to himself
A few on here absolutely think DK didn’t do no wrong
    Stay in your work area
    Sticks n stones
    May
    Break my bones
    Words will never hurt
    Making millions and mentally weak
This is what gets me about how people feel that this situation is acceptable
Also, you want to fight, there is a time and place for it. Not on a nationally televised game and during the game
    Also
The fan is a dikhead too. He will eventually get his. But if fans know that words can hurt an athlete’s performance, it won’t stop.

It starts in high school or worse

My local podunk high school played the neighboring podunk team

On the first play some kid ran the ball for 4 yards and he got up strutting and pounding his chest and others joined in

    Then they lost 42-3

And the coach and family and fans tolerate this

    It’s current society
