    A lot of contracts these days include verbiage of some kind that voids the guarantee of future salaries if certain conditions are met. Put simply, these are conduct clauses - it could be missing a game for any reason other than injury or voluntary team decision, which is what I understand the Steelers had in place with Metcalf's deal.

    If breeched, the team then has the right to retract those guarantees. The player can still earn them - i.e., the guaranteed simply becomes non-guaranteed - so long as the player is still a member of the team. Most teams aren't going to exercise this unless they plan on cutting ties with the player. They'll keep it in their back pocket in case further disruptions occur (possibly not serious enough to trip the clause on their own).

    i havent heard those words in so long lol

    its a forgotten time, like when players didnt make a big deal about scoring a TD or recovering a fumble…

    Some people still have those manners. Sadly, when one of my students shows up speaking that way, I am surprised because it is so rare.

    I have read conflicting reports. I believe it makes it easier for them to cut him loose, which he deserves, but then that leaves them even worse off at receiver. They can't afford to do that.

    At 15 he did a helluva job projecting his 11 year old QB's blindside. At least the middle school coach gave him his 4 year window.

    Here's one that takes the cake:

    Seems a lady had her young kids at a big box grocery store one afternoon. As is usually the case, they had the little free samples stands around the store. When the kids approached one of the stands with people waiting for a sample, the kids ran around them and grabbed every sample and ran off to their mom. A bystander saw what happened and approached the mother about what the kids had done. The mother told the bystander "mind your own F-in business and get out of my face".

    ... so much for teaching manners :icon e sad:
