Merry Christmas

wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to all. in my Italian heritage Christmas eve was the big night to celebrate with family and friends and have continued it with my sons and their families and my best friend and his family are up from the Dallas area. two daughters one new son-in law. my two new grand babies. my friends sister. my sons in-laws and their kids. should be quite the shindig. i hope you all have a blessed and happy Christmas celebrating however you do. try to keep those traditions alive. those were some of the best times i remember in my life. enjoy my steeler family.

PS. my friend and his girls and son-in law are going to the game in Cleveland. he's a die hard one of us and so are his girls. the son-in law is from tampa and well you know but i'm sure the transformation has begun.

Yep same here family is here from Florida. Even though they live in Buccaneers territory all have remained loyal Steelers fans.

I too come from Italian heritage and Christmas Eve was insane. Only problem, I was born late into a family. I only remember bits and pieces of the parties. I was 4 years old at my oldest sister's wedding. By the time I was older a lot had died off and the parties had gotten much smaller.

 

same here. most have died. why i'm trying to keep it going with my sons and grand daughters. we had Christmas with my dad last weekend and they bolted back to florida. he's 89. the rest of what was my immediate family growing up are gone.

 

Another Italian (Calabrese) here. Family Christmas Eve parties were the highlight of the holiday. Always enough food to feed an entire army for a month. Plus it was the only time of the year I'd get homemade lemon cello. Sadly, everyone is scattered now, and tonight will be a much smaller family gathering. There was nothing better than coming home, and staggering around half lit, trying to help the wife put presents under the tree. Lol

Merry Christmas. I don’t ask for much but a Steelers SB Trophy in Feb would be the ultimate belated XMas gift. Improbable but not impossible!
