Down goes Sellers; as I foretold for months.

    Only Dante Moore remains.

    It will be interesting.

Not with Tomlin as the HC. Tomlin would ruin the QB. He isn't capable of developing players.

What's dumb is letting Tomlin be the HC in the first place.

Who has him at QB1 in the draft? Most draft sites I've spent time on don't have a consensus #1 QB. Some have Moore, some have Simpson, and some have Mendoza.

ESPN - 4th - Behind Simpson, Moore, and Sellers, though with Sellers returning to school he would jump to 3
    PFF - 2nd behind Simpson
NFL Draft Buzz - 2nd behind Moore
    CBS Sports - 1st

The Steelers might not have a shot without giving up massive draft capital anyways since the Raiders, Browns, Jets, Cardinals, and Saints all sit in the top 7. Are we trading up with the Giants or Titans for their spot to take one? It would be a large package to get up that far.

Nobody knows if Moore or Simpson will declare for the draft this year.

Ah yes, the root for another team line because someone disagrees with you.

No surprise. Arch Manning announced he is returning to Texas next year.

True, they haven't declared. Neither has Mendoza, as he's only a junior as well....

Very important to not reach on a QB like they did with Kenny in 2022

I agree not to reach because this draft class didnt live up to the hype but that leads me to my next point, we hear this all the time, great draft class coming up in such and such year. They dont know ****, 2027 is too far away to make any declaration like that.

Was said about this year no less. Look how this year has turned out. Sellers and Allar are the two biggest points; the latter not living up to the hype at all while the former ended his College Career via injury.

Moreover to Allar though?! I still believe there is way too much talent and ability with him to not consider drafting him within the Top 75. Right now, I suspect his confidence isn't at 100% with not just how his time at Penn State ended but his performance prior to that.

Thankfully, much of that confidence can be restored via coaching; namely in the basics. Not sure if Tom Arth will stay or go but if there is one QB Coach I'd trust to rebuild Drew Allar, Arth would be the one. He has had time with Justin Herbert. No way he wouldn't be up to the task with Allar.

Allar was always a project in my opinion (and I would've hated him being a first round pick, but if available in the 3rd round I would be fine taking a chance on him). He's not super mobile, but athletic enough. He's obviously got a cannon and has made some awesome throws while being turnover averse. However, he doesn't read the field well and is wildly inaccurate on the underneath stuff, inexplicably missing very easy throws with consistency. It feels like he is going to end up going where he should have gone the whole time. Had he come out last year, he would've been a first round pick and I think that is over-drafting him.

I'm not saying there isn't a chance the kid turns out to be an NFL starter, but he is going to take time. He feels like a similar style to Ben or Drake Maye, but with a good bit less polish coming out. He'd be an interesting dart to throw if available later in the draft, but he clearly needs a redshirt year in the NFL to get himself right.

Another thing to consider is trading a mid/late round pick to Cleveland for Sanders, if they decide to draft a QB early this year. I am not sure his ceiling is massively high, but he seems like a kid that is a pretty safe bet to be an NFL starter (even if it is a lower end starter).

This year's class is Moore/Simpson/Mendoza. Moore is QB1 by a lot for me, though he isn't without warts. Simpson is QB2 for me, as he has a high ceiling, but he definitely needs a bit more time to mature as a player (though, I still think he should come out as its his best shot at being a first round pick). Mendoza is a high floor prospect that feels like a very low ceiling. He will be very scheme dependent, but a good kid and good leader.

I think I rear Tom Arth took a HC position at a high school. He won’t be back.

He is tabbed to be a candidate.
