Keep in mind guys. It would be hard for all of us to not root for our friends who are charged with anything. They feel he is not guilty. This is America.

Two of my outstanding Marines were charged with Rape
Higher HQ told me to discharge them
I said hey, this is America, they haven't been proven guilty
Discharge them for being charged with a serious offense
I researched it and found they do. do that
I discharged them
They went to court, NOT GUILTY!!! Girl admitted she lied
They came to me ask to get back in
Higher HQ said NO
Case closed
Girl got no jail time

This is just a little different than your situation. Theres the dead body of Odin Lloyd as proof. Proof that Hernandez did it? No. But at the very least he was witness to it. He was in on it. And this isn't his first incident. Or second. Or third. The guy is a bad seed. Period. Recognize that and move away from him. This whole man-code thing of friend loyalty to the end is just stupid. All that gets you is brought down to their level.

Ok I had a buddy stab a guy in the neck now do I support what he did no but do I support him as a friend yes.

 

Careful! All they have to do is make the prosecution prove beyond a reasonable doubt. It's all going to come down to how they charge him and what they can actually prove.

 

And thats understandable.

But would you support him if it meant your freedom or your good name? I understand that you would still want to be friends with him, but would you cover for him?

Take this scenario of 2 guys I know:
Both were big crack heads who ran out of money one night. They had the bright idea to rob a mentally challenged guy at his house. One sat in the car, the other went in....and beat the guy to death with a JD bottle. When the police questioned them, the driver covered for his buddy and lied to the cops. Eventually they caught them both. The driver did 2 years. Had he confessed, it would have been a much lighter sentence. Another guy I know said, well yeah he was just sticking up for his friend. Bullcrap. I dont know about you, but if Im that driver and the cops question me, Im spilling the beans. Im not f-ing up my life to cover your stupid ass. Friendship is out the window at that point.

Don't know the outcome of your friends incident, but if he had killed that guy would you have taken out a full page ad in the newspaper, complete with YOUR name and picture, proclaiming to free him? That is essentially what Pounceys did.

You can support your friends privately if you choose. I have nothing against the Pounceys supporting him (even though I think they should distance themselves), just do it in a less public and more politically correct manner.

 

Anybody concerned when it says:

I think we should all be concerned. I don't think they're implicating the Pounceys, but some clarification would have been nice.

This "Free" so and so stuff is apparently part of the "hip-hop" culture. Apparently they wear shirts of cop killers and all these stupid gang bangers that have ALREADY been convicted and say "Free" them. It's really disgraceful and I wish these kids would be taught some morals and respect and professionalism. I wonder how they would like it if Zimmerman would have been convicted and then I walked around with a "Free Zimmerman" shirt??? Probably not so much.

The guy didn't die and no I wouldn't cover for him I was there and told the cops exactly how it went down. Dude said something to Blaines girl and Blaine stabbed him in the throat. I was just saying they are showing their friend support. I wouldn't go around wearing a free whoever hat though.
