From the video you posted, we can also see that he makes a fist so he's trying to punch the fan.

I think it's not going to be good. Maybe they only give him a game and a fine. But I could see them throwing the book at him to make a statement that this **** isn't OK.

Maybe if he said something really egregious, but I don't think they'll be able to prove it.

Even if the fan did say something terrible, I could still see the league coming down hard for initiating physical contact.

It happened all because the Lions' fan called him DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf. Metcalf is unstable and hasn't been worthy of the contract he was given. I would trade him next season.

I was just watching Shannon Sharpe and Ocho and the claim is that the fan used a racial slur (N-word) and called his mom the C-word. I’m in no way defending DK, but if this is indeed true—this fan certainly crossed a line.

 

Main dude from Indiana that went into the crowd was suspended a season or a season and then more games. Pretty much destroyed that Indiana team due to suspensions & reputations.

 

If that **** really said that he deserved to get throat wrapped and javelin’d off the stands. **** him.

Ron Artest. Yeah, he went into the crowd and punched a guy that threw something at him (maybe a drink, iirc?) started an all out brawl that spilled into the seats. It was more than just a punch, but he definitely got the rest of the season. There were other suspensions too I believe.

 

I think if this is the case you still fine DK because you can’t be walking over and getting into it with a fan, no matter what ignorant **** they say. If this is the truth regarding what he said, then the Lions pretty much have to ban him from the stadium (or the NFL can ban him from all stadiums). I’ll never understand why fans think it’s cool to mess with players.

This is my unqualified opinion based on very minimal Google research:

Using a racial slur at someone is considered hate speech which is protected by the first amendment. If that racial slur is used to instigate a fight or violent act, it could be considered a borderline hate crime but obviously the burden of proof in this would fall on Metcalf. If it can be substantiated that he was called a racial slur, it likely won't affect any punishment he receives from the NFL but could possibly protect him against any legal action from the fan himself and also lead to the fan being banned for life from that stadium and possibly any other NFL stadium. There's a lot going on here I'm sure we are going to hear about.

 

From that I think he missed his face and hit that sh!t hanging from the ahole's face.

 

I'm not backing him but he is a Pittsburgh Steeler and we are Pittsburgh Steeler fans. We want to make Playoffs and hopefully do well in them.

He is an idiot, agree, but a Steeler fan rooting for him to be suspended for rest of season is a Steeler fan who does not care if we make Playoffs.
