This thread needs to survive (as apposed to a certain thread about toaster that will remain nameless) so I'm going to pull it back into being Steelers related. Did you guys hear about the Steelers player that went to the psychiatrist wearing nothing but a cellophane diaper? The doctor looked at him and said, "I can cleary see your nuts!".

On a side note, I'm with you BFT on the whole foot thing...nasty!

 

There was another Steeler player that went to a psychiatrist and said "doc, I need help! Half the time I think I'm a wig-wam and half the time I think I'm a tee-pee". The doctor replied, "you just need to relax, you're two tents!".

Actually I worked in a machine shop, years ago, with a young kid, who had one of those blood blisters under his fingernail, and one of the older guys told him to just use a drill press, with a small drill bit, to relieve the pressure, as was mentioned earlier in this thread...
Unfortunately, he didn`t have the common sense, to be gentle, when trying to break thru the nail, like the earlier poster did with his cordless drill, and naturally, the worst case scenario happened...
Anyone familiar with using drill bits, knows, that they tend to pull whatever they are drilling, upwards, if not securely held down, and ...

The thumb went straight up the drill bit, with a brand new 1/16 inch diameter hole, clean thu it!!!
I think he missed the bone, but it was hard to tell, with how he was screaming!
I almost feel bad, for being part of the group that was laughing hilariously, instead of bein the guy that came over to help him get to the sink, and clean off the wound, but, hey, it`s human nature, to laugh at people who just hurt themselves, right?

 

OH....MY...GOODNESS... I thought you said the man was wearing a "cellPHONE diaper" and I was like "THEY MAKE THOSE!!!???" I SERIOUSLY need to get some fresh air!!! LOLOLOL!!!! I'm glad you're with me on the feet thing though!!! Go over to the watercooler "Hey TTF" thread and you will see that a HUUUGE prank got pulled on me by TTF and Strummer that played on my opinion about feet. Be careful telling people your phobias on here. LOL. I also have a slight phobia of owls as well. They're just incredibly creepy looking to me and can turn their head around like Beetlejuice. I just don't like them.

 

I probably shouldn't mention my affliction with food touching each other. If my wife would let me get away with it all our plates would have little dividers in them to keep each food in its own space. I know that is a strange one but I bet there are stranger ones out there!

 

Dude my wife is the SAME WAY!!!! She gets it from her uncle! I don't mind for SOME foods to touch but there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed. I really don't like so see another person touch my food. My wife always gets my supper ready and puts it on the plate which is fine BUT if she touched it AFTER I assume control of the plate I would be like "HEY! QUIT! THAT'S SICK!" I don't really get the psychology that goes behind that but I just feel that way. Also I don't like to share food and I would NEVER let someone eat off my plate or use my fork or spoon. When we're at a restaurant and the waiter says "would you like to share a desert?" I just look at them like they have asked me if I would like for someone to spit all over my food. LOL. I know some of you guys will think I'm crazy but I just believe in boundaries I guess. I'm a pretty guarded guy really. I'm self conscious about a lot of things.

 

It's not just my wife though. I mean ANYBODY don't need to be touching my grub! LOL!

 

I get what your saying. When people learn about my food issue they always ask me about things like salad and dressing or potatoes and gravy. I have to explain how some things go together, such as the above. My problem is when the main foods touch. For example, lets say I have mac and cheese and potatoes on my plate. Both great by themselves but if they touch they are ruined! (this thread is so gone out of this forum lol)

 

YOu go dining at the Y with your wife,but she can't touch your food?

Not a problem... I've found it quite entertaining. Funny how some threads get derailed and venture waaaaay off topic.

 

I don`t think he evr mentioned that he goes dining at the "Y", or the "clamshack", with his wife...

BFT... I`m one of the least uptight people you would ever meet, but, it still bothers me, when my girlfriend, will offer me a bite of food, from her plate, when we are out at a restaraunt...
She has a habit of that...
"Here, taste this, it`s SOOO good!"...
Has nothing to do, with sanitary reasons, I couldn`t care lesss...
At home, I would say fine, feed me... yuuummm...
But in public, it just strikes me as sumkinda manners violation, or something...
Like people would be looking down on us, for not having proper manners, when in general, I usually don`t give a rat`s ass, what other people think of me in public!

My wife and I are the opposite. We always make sure we order something different from the menu so I can try some of hers and she can try some of mine. Hey, variety is the spice of life!

 

Well Jack if you're ever in town and we get us a good bite to eat I'll have to make sure and order the same thing you do! LOL!
