If I were some people, I'd slow my role on Mike Vrabel. Do people realize they have only beaten one team that has over a 500 record, and that team beat them also the 2nd time.
It's easy to change a team around, it's way harder to keep that team good. Don't believe me.....look at all the HCs that have won Coach of the year, and have been fired within the next 3-5 years.
I can't even count the number of HCs that have been written about on here as being awesome that aren't even HCs anymore.
Can anyone say Washington who is 4-10 this year, or....the Vikings who are 6-8, that's just small examples from this year. Both teams people talked about last year about their ability to turn things around.

Wish I had a copy of the NFL rulebook the year James caught that pass. I swear they made up the ruling on the fly.

    All too true.

Next year will be the referendum on Vrabel. At least a bit. Likely a first place finish schedule rather than last place team's schedule. Teams will see Maye coming and have had an entire off-season to break down his game.

Exactly, and I'm not saying they can't do it, I'm saying let's wait , and see.

I do think that if Tennessee had it to do over, they would've stuck with Vrabel over the GM that he lost the power-struggle to.

Although, I did not pay much attention to it. Wonder if Vrabel was not on-board for drafting the QB and wanted to go the veteran route?

Did the Bills expose the Patriots defense?

There is a lot wrong with the Titans.

Amy has been at the forefront of it all.

Trading A.J. Brown wasn't Mike's call. That was her.

    True....

... except for the fact that, under Vrabels leadership, the Titans were a force in their own division from 2019 to 2021; a four year run. That is including the meddling and overturning he had to deal with as well. Saying that Vrabel isn't it because of his current success in New England is unfair to him and short sighted given his success in Tennessee.

Major reason why 2022 to 2023 were his worst Coaching Records was due to the egregious errors made by Amy. From trading away A.J. Brown to firing Ran Carthon mid-season, the mess that is currently in Tennessee falls heavily on her. Vrabel didn't do himself favors at the time either (namely his aggressiveness on defense despite not having the players needed) but he was largely playing with a talent deficient roster; a roster that could have been better had Amy stayed out of the way.

Long story short?! Ownership matters. Kraft is infinitely better than Amy in just about every regard.

Common sense isn’t a part of anything anymore.
James took 2 steps and reached out for the “ Football move”
Like I said, I can no longer distinguish what is and what isn’t a catch.
    No longer 2 steps
    Now 3 steps
    Plus football move
Wonder how it is for the kids playing pickup? :hmm:

    Fair enough.

That said, conduct and results are two different things. Not condoning what Robert Kraft has done as a person. I am stating though that, as far as pure Football Operations go, Kraft runs a far better machine than Amy could ever hope to.

yes, and that was 16 YEARS AGO...means nothing, its so far ago, its hard to even recall more than the last play of the 2nd half or that catch by Holmes.

Tomlin had a stud QB and did nothing with him for almost a decade.

Do you comprehend this? How exactly does that make an argument for Tomlin?

    Do you understand?

It's like trying to talk to a wall, and not one of the more intelligent walls at that.

Yep. Which is far from great. But also not the same thing as never winning anything with Ben.

I think there are many issues Tomlin has. And I have been neutral on firing him since Ben got hurt.

It will almost certainly make the team worse in the short term. But that's probably what we need to get a good QB.

It's far from a guarantee though. And I can understand why owners who aren't wealthy from efforts outside the NFL would rather stay with a high-floor coach instead of rolling the dice on a tank with a hopefully quick turnaround.

Like everyone, I'd much rather we made a playoff run. I don't think the team is good enough for that though.

It's a small consolation, but it's good that we know every game this year is going to count (again). I'm not a fan of the Buffalo Bills like no man's land we're in. But I'd also hate to be a fan of a team like Cleveland where you basically know you're eliminated by your bye week most seasons.

Your pessimistic attitude make You not pay attention to reality.
Lamar jackson is a two time MVP, he has 3 playoff wins, and has not ever been to a SB.
Josh Allen is a MVP, and has never been to a SB.
Dan Marino is a MVP, and had not one ,but two SB HCs, and only went one time, and never won a SB.
Every one of those QB are rated as a better QB than Ben even if we don't think so. So what are their, and their HCs excuses???
    You live in a fantasy.
Many of the so called better HCs that have won a playoff in the last 10 years , have not been back, and have had multiple losing seasons, and been fired. Step out of fantasy land into the real world.

This team is not good enough to win a playoff game. Truth hurts, but it's true.
