Agree 100%. We already know what we have with Rudolph. Letting Howard start and see what we potentially have going into next years draft could go a long way even if it is only one game starting.

Tua is small and struggles in cold weather no thanks.

 

He is another example of a high picked Qb failure, and I don't want to hear about coaching failures. They have done everything they could to make it work.

 

I'm not a fan of small QBs like Tua and Bryce Young.

There is truth to that.
I usually think of 1 or 2 can't miss types are in a draft, guys that just have all the tools and yes, sometimes there's only 1 or sometimes there's a few ie Rothlisberger draft.
It's really more of the scouting being good enough to do quality scouting and finding those guys.
You don't want a Ryan Leaf, a guy that I pulling against the pack as I was pretty sure he was a bust. Lot of physical traits, no brain.
And of course, the QB has to fit your offense and blend with the coaching.

With Pittsburgh, there has to be a focus on QB, they must find some sort of solution.

I figure Tomlin will return, in 26.
Tomlin prefers the Vet types. Mac Jones would be #1 on the list but he's also under contract and I don't think a trade will happen because, well, you know, Omar.
So, Kyler Murray will be cut - Hard pass for me.
Tua might get cut, it is an expensive proposition but maybe...
There's probably another 1 or 2 in trouble.

We have Skylar and Howard and, Mason.....

In the draft, there's 5 QB's I have that are worth the gamble and a couple wild cards.

At this point, those are the options as I see it... maybe I have a few modifications as circumstances change... but generically speaking now.
I don't know what they'll do.

 

Rudolph is not a young worthy quarterback

He’s had almost 8 seasons of opportunity and he has shown he is not starter material

You have to be joking about Pickett

 

They will not and should not play Howard in a game that counts but in your scenario it seems to make sense
