    It's this simple

    Pittsburgh's magic number is 3
    Baltimore's magic number is 4

Any combination of Pittsburgh wins and Baltimore losses totaling 3 gives the Steelers the AFCN.
Any combination of Baltimore wins and Pittsburgh losses totaling 4 gives the Ravens the AFCN.

The only exception is if the Steelers beat Baltimore in week 18, the Steelers win the AFCN even if they lose the next 2 and the Ravens win the next 2.

If it comes down to week 18 for AFCN they would probably flex that to a night game??

I was hoping if we beat Cleveland and the Ravens lost one more we would clinch?

The ravens would need to lose the next 2 games to have a chance to clinch in Cleveland....The good news, the steelers will know before the game vs browns if they can clinch in Cleveland since the ravens play vs Green Bay on a saturday night that week,so if the ravens win their game vs packers, the steelers could rest their starter in Cleveland since this game would mean nothing for the steelers

As long the steelers win one more game and keep Tomlin's streak intact, that's all that matters.

If the Steelers beat the Lions and the Ravens lose to the Patriots this week, the Steelers can clinch in Cleveland regardless of what the Ravens do against the Patriots.

If they both win the next two games, then it goes to Week 18. The common opponent tie-breaker would favor the Ravens and that one is ahead of conference record, which would favor the Steelers. I could definitely see the opportunity to rest guys in Cleveland if both games go Baltimore's way this weekend.

If that’s the case then I hope they start Will Howard. Have MR as the back up. No sense in getting the number 2 hurt. Besides, he might get his head bashed in again.

It's probably going to matter. I think the most likely way it doesn't is if the Rats lose to both the Pats and GB and we win one of the next two (probably CLE).

I think they move us to Saturday.

This game likely super important for the two teams that are playing.

But I think it won't matter at all for anyone else. Unless the Texans, Bills, Jags, or Chargers really **** the bed to end the year.

Winner gets in. Loser goes home.

Perfect for Saturday because (1) it's really important and (2) probably won't give any other team an unfair informational advantage to have us play a day early.

All my friends talk of their afternoon naps. We actually have guys take their naps in the clubhouse. They re-charge. I hate it and fight it. I'm groggy for 2-3 hours after if I take one. I hate that feeling.
