    For me personally?!

If Rodgers doesnt come back, roll with Howard but dont give him the starting job. Find a competent QB to challenge him and find out if he has what it takes. Maximize the Roster during the draft as Pittsburgh sure as hell isnt a QB away like so many believe. Why?!

WR, IDL, CB, OT, IOL and ILB are all needs that will need addressed. Of the six positions I outlined, WR, CB and OG are in abundnace in next years class though many of the IOL prospects are very, very scheme specific. Of those three, one can argue that CB is the greatest need for Pittsburgh given the fact that the 2026 CB FA Market isnt looking great and the draft class is looking just as bleak sans three.

Aveion Terrell, Mansoor Delane and Jermod McCoy. These three are, more or less, what the 2026 NFL Draft Class offers in terms of instant starting capability. Everyone else is either not schematically compatible to not being scouted at all.

If Howard can do it?! Fantastic. If not?! Ready up for 2027. Tomlin could very well be gone and Pittsburgh needs to usher in a new era of QB with a new Head Coach. Tomlin has already shown us he is ill equipped to understand how Modern NFL Offensive Concepts work. Tying him with presumably Howard or whomever the guy is in 2027 will not end well.

    Nor would I.

That said, have to see if Moore declares. If he does?! No way Pittsburgh is twiddling its thumbs. For that matter, I expect a trade up in Pittsburgh into the Top 3 should this current draft order hold; namely with two teams. Washington is the first while Tennessee is the other.

Both are in dire need of a talent injection into their Organizations. Pittsburgh can provide that but they will have to be aggressive. Las Vegas, Los Angeles and even Cleveland (Sheduers performances pending) will also be intrigued and have superior draft assets to do so.

    Gonna be one helluva January!

If that would happen we may be 10-6 headed into that game (that would be so lovely) and you'd be screaming for them to put Rodgers in so you can say I told you so to a few members with your 11-6 prediction;)

I'd rather go with her co-star Amanda Seyfried.

I win it I'm taking Jordon Hudson from Bill Belichick for payback for what his Patsy's did to Steelers.

She will probably just love you for your charming personality and incredible taste in fashion. Wealth will have nothing to do with the relationship.

They didn’t give Pickett the starting job they sure as heck will not give it to Howard

Buy when they bring competition in next year I don’t see Howard tucking tail and running like Pickett did

Howard seems to be more confident and quite frankly smarter

    IMO

With the Steelers having 12 picks maybe they draft a position player with their first round pick, then trade back into the first round to take Allar like the Giants did to get Dart.

Of course he'll compete. But if the Steelers are able to land a QB they think fits for the team better, they're going to take that pick.

I don't see them forcing a pick like they did with Pickett.

I agree, after the 1st round.
About 3 different Qbs I would look at , after the 1st round.

Ah , It wouldn't bother me. I've been wrong before, but so far only by a half a game because of a tie. I would be fine with that though with a division win, and a chance to see how Howard looks with the team.

A lot depends on how he heals and what he shows at the combine or pro days etc

    Agreed.
I will never discount what some teams think is more important after I seen a team take Anthony Richardson 4th overall in the 1st round. He was drafted purely on Athletic abilities, and nothing more. He sucked in college , and because He could throw far, jump high, and run fast in the combine they drafted him that high.

The Steelers don't seem to like starting rookies. Howard is essentially a rookie next year. He had minimal training camp this year and no play during the season. So he's going to be a rookie next year as well.

If Rogers is gone, the Steelers have shown over and over that they like to go with experience. I can't see them starting Rudolph for the season. I think that they're going to sign another aged quarterback as the starter and depending on how they like what they've seen from Howard so far, they could draft another quarterback next year.

We are then going to go to training camp with some old has been QB that's the shoe in for a starter. We have Rudolph under contract for another year unless they trade him. And then we'll have Howard and possibly another draft qb. If they draft another qb, I think they'll try and trade Rudolph to someone. Then Howard and that other QB will compete for the number two spot. If they don't draft another qb, Howard and Rudolph will compete for the number two spot.

not a bad plan. Were basically rebuilding, which is what we need to do: with a new HC.

we are not rebuilding this team with Tomlin. Looks like he doesnt want to do it, and i dont think he can do it.

Allar wouldn't warrant First Round Consideration. If he does?! That speaks a lot more to how horrible the QB Class is than initially thought.
