TJ Watt at hospital

I was thinking the same thing. Is this the first year that he has been double teamed and chipped? Is this the reason he only has 7 sacks instead of his usual 15 or more?

 

New report just dropped (sorry not sure how to link the report) that it's a tiny hole in his lung. Felt some pain during his lift, finished his lift and then went to get checked out.

Apparently not a big issue and has been fixed. Just needs rest. MNF in doubt, but not a long term issue.

 

That is a relief!


Thankfully his life isn't in danger.

Where did you see that? The irresponsible speculation about Watt's situation has been awful, and that includes some normally reputable reporters.

Per Shefter...underwent surgery to repair partially collapsed lung suffered Wednesday. Expected to be discharged today and unlikely to play Monday.

 

Little aged for the NFL but way way to young for sh!t like this.

 

Very happy to hear that it sounds like he is going to be okay and might even be back playing next week, even if he will probably miss Monday night.

That said, this is the second consecutive week they lost a key defensive starter during the week before a game. Take it easy, guys!

 

This just didn't occur ... it may have just come to a head as us old folks would say. And, this explains alot about his play recently. He's blessed that he didn't pass out on the field. Limited O² can cause stroke and/or cardiac arrest.

 

The guy had arguably his best game of the season last week. We don't have enough information to know when it happened.

He , and others act like they treated Watt this way the day he stepped on the field. 7 pass rushers were drafted before TJ Watt the year he was drafted, so nobody was scheming that way against him right off the bat, it took awhile. Hell I didn't really notice it until the year before he tied the sack record what they started to do to stop him.

 

From a medical point of view ... lungs doesn't partially collapse after 3 days. He may not have been aware of the symptoms, but the body warns us and then if its not treated ... it will reveal what the issue is/was.

 

Nobody, I repeat Nobody is doubled, or single, and chipped, or doubled, and chipped as much as TJ Watt is. Nobody. Hell even Cris Collinsworth the man behind PFF said this during one of our games this year. He is the most by far. Of course they don't do it on every play, not every play is a pass, or even going his way, but it's done enough that no one else is even close to getting that treatment.

You know damn well some people do not watch the games and do not see some of the stats. They posted it on the screen as he was pointing it out.
