Steelers OLB TJ Watt is at the hospital undergoing medical evaluation of his lung.

We all know hospitals are not very hospitable and can be rather hostile.

Hoping it doesn't turn into Lambert's turf toe.

What does 'discomfort of the lung' feel like exactly? Was he having chest pain and this is how they are putting it? Doesn't sound good whatever it is. Get well soon.

Chest pain can mean a number of things. It could be tightness in the chest and difficulty breathing, which would be more consistent with a lung issue.

Not necessarily. Perhaps he wasn't feeling great for a day or two and things simply got worse. We aren't likely to see a report just because a player has a cough for a couple of days.

Said 'he suffered an issue while getting treatment at the facilities'..... what'd they do, stick him with a poker?

I'm already seeing speculation that it was something similar to what happened to Tyrod Taylor in 2020, which is very irresponsible. There is no evidence to back that up.

The first concern with something of this nature is that he is okay.

Beyond that, this would be a huge blow to the defense if he can't play. Watt is a shell of his former self, but he is still a strong run defender who can draw attention from blockers on pass plays. Just because his play has declined significantly doesn't mean he isn't a big upgrade over Sawyer, though perhaps we would see Herbig or Highsmith on the left side if Watt can't go.

Could be a rib injury possibly puncturing the lung. Guess we will get an update later today. Hope its nothing major.

Shouldn't be a problem to everyone that thinks he is done, and Shouldn't have gotten paid anyway.
To bad the teams we play don't think so, otherwise you wouldn't see the double teams, double, and chipped teams against him. I guess everyone on this board knows way more than the teams watching tape, and facing him.

This is the irresponsible crap I've been talking about. These guys should either do real reporting and have it confirmed or shut the hell up.

This simply isn't true. It can be true that he was vastly overpaid and they should have moved on while acquiring a cheaper veteran to help fill the void, but it will hurt the Steelers' defense if he misses time.
