Third best miss tackle rate among the DBs on the Steelers (Ramsey, Elliot).

I’d add another CB and safety in the draft, find that top end safety finally. I wanted Kyle Hamilton a couple years ago, he’s been a great addition for the Ravens. Ramsey has filled in nicely since moving him there but getting long in the tooth.

That one of his penalties came at a really bad time doesn't mean he hasn't gotten dramatically better in that area. I agree with MojoUW. The bigger issue is his poor tackling.

Ramsey misses too many tackles, too. He has been a huge upgrade over Thornhill, but that's a very low bar.

I don't agree, I believe he has done well in tackling. No He's not the best tackler, but he has gotten better each year. Hell he has got better each year at his whole game.
No spot is harder to play, harder to learn, and harder to draft than the CB......outside of the Qb. He is only in his 3 year, and he has gotten better each year.

Ramsey may miss some tackles but he will pop you and make the reciever pay for that catch.

I still remember when they drafted him and they ran his highlights package from PSU, and I thought "Wow, almost every one of those is a penalty in the NFL" That said I was thrilled with the pick, and I'm still not at all disappointed with his play.

He's a lot like Humphrey on the Ravens to me. They seem to grab and are physical on every play, which I think almost gets the refs used to it and they realize they can't call it every time.

Also, coverage isn't all he does. He's made some great tackles this year that prevented huge gains if he had missed.

Other than Caleb Downs, there really isnt a safety Id be comfortable taking in Round One. Zakwe Wheatley from Penn State would be a rock solid option in Round 3.

I will go as far to say that Cornerback is the most difficult position to play among any position in American Gridiron Football. For me, Quarterbacks are much different than any other position and, as a result, must be treated differently as well. If anything, Quarterbacks are their own seperate position all together anyhow given how complex that position alone is based on a myriad of factors. As such, I dont consider QBs to be Football Players like Wide Receivers, Offensive Tackles, etc.

Regarding Football Players though?! Cornerback is easily the most difficult.

Ramsey's tackling is ok. It's Queen that is horrendous this season.

You know how this goes though, once the draft process starts there will be more names that pop up. The problem is that anyone that shoots up the draft boards may go too early for where we will be picking.

    That I do.

That said, those pop ups usually are for positions that have an abundance of talent at the top while also being quite deep in terms of the depth of that talent. Safeties this season are not even in that tier. Dillon Thieneman from Oregon would be another but I do believe he is worthy of a Top 40 consideration. Beyond him, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren from Toledo, Kamari Ramsay from USC and a potential sleeper pick in Michael Taaffe from Texas?! Not too many that I have seen that I graded fairly highly. Jalon Kilgore from South Carolina is a Wild Card.

He can play Safety but I believe he is still good enough to play Corner at the NFL Level.

And then there is the eye test which tells me he's gotten a lot better each year. He's the one CB on the Steelers that can play press man. I'll take an occasional penalty for that.

The missed tackle numbers do not support the notion that Ramsey's tackling is okay. He does what he has always done. He can make some big hits, but he also misses too many.

You could tell on Sunday that wrapping up and finishing the tackle was a point of emphasis. Lots of holding on for dear life ankle tackles.

PFR says otherwise. Six missed tackles puts him far down the list for CBs. Or if you prefer, even better among safeties.

They need a QB first and foremost. But I agree they need to draft secondary and develop homegrown players. The secondary is made up of 90% outside signings.

As far as Porter Jr goes he has improved. But not to break the bank on.
