Maybe. The Texans are getting hot, like Philly last year, and could make some noise.

The Texans are #1 in most defensive categories, but the Broncos lead in sacks.

His INT isn’t getting enough play in my opinion—mostly because of the Likely TD/non TD. That INT was big because it ultimately netted us a 2 score lead (that we all know we had to have just to have a chance)

Our defense is all over the place. However, like you all but said, they went berserk in the waning minutes rallying to the ball while really amping up their play. It’s too bad that’s more of an aberration these days versus the norm.

Sadly, I'd give that a go and so would Ravens fans I think. It's not a win-win. It's a play not to lose-play not to lose.

Oh yeah, they majority of fans wanted Harbaugh gone years ago, just like us and Tomlin. Both have failed miserably in the playoffs for a long time. The difference is the Ravens occasionally put up a 12+ win season and actually win a playoff game before laying an egg.

Tomlin just lays eggs constantly, even just shaving in the morning.

It's like one of those Ravens quotes said, they CAN run the ball, they just don't. I can't imagine anything more frustrating then having a monster of an RB (even if a bit old for RB) that can run like the wind and never giving him 25+ carries. Bad OL or not, feed him and keep feeding him. He gets 25 carriers, he likely has a 30 and 50 yard TD run in there, even with a dozen tackled-for-loss and 2 and 3 yard meh runs.

Why the against the rules @Clive From PIT@Clive From PIT ??
I wasn't talking politics, You should know I hate politics, both sides. I was just using that as an example, and referring to both sides , not picking a side. I just used that because millions of people on both sides totally disagree, to show that just because a lot of people believe something, doesn't make it correct, either way.

I just don't understand that either. The guy has got incredible strength, great vision and burst speed. He can also hold that speed for a pretty lengthy time on a long run. He has always been one of my favorite running backs in the nfl. He showcases exactly what you want in a running back.

Well if You look back, it all comes down to , not always getting what You wish for is a good thing.
For years Ravens fans, and media Lamar Jackson fans said that OC Greg Roman's style of football was antiquated, and He really relied on the run game too much, and they needed someone to come in , and run a modern passing game, and well...... Here you go.

Wasn't it just last season that Monken was get touted as a genius? I believe he was tabbed as the next big thing for the HC hiring cycle.

I know I risk throwing this into ANOTHER "Steelers coaches" argument thread...but does it seem like these wunderkind or guru coaches sometimes come in and have a season or two of success....then folks get tape on them or injuries set in and suddenly it all evaporates.

Makes those that sustain their success (say McVay, Shanny the Younger, defensive dude in Seattle, LaFleur) more impressive.

Look at the 4th quarter for the Baltimore offense. It was a train wreck. Even after the Likely call, they still had multiple opportunities to get a first down or a TD on that continuing series. And it was not a good series of play calls.
Then the final Ravens drive was one of the most aimless and dispirited two minute drills I've seen a team stumble through in a long time.

Ravens have no excuse. They have their franchise QB in LJ. Steelers have been playing "rent a QB" since 2022. Steelers could be searching for years. It's been 4 seasons without a franchise QB. We went 21 years between Bradshaw and Roethlisberger.

The Ravens just gave Harbaugh a 3 year extension before this season so it is unlikely their owner will can him after this season. So on the Ravens message board they are wanting to start a Go Fund Me page for the Ravens owner to pay off Harbaugh's contract, lol.

The Ravens have a franchise QB who is a two-time MVP and fails in the playoffs.

I dont think it'll be that long to wait again. We should be able to nab a franchise Qb within the next few years. Qb’s are supposed to be more NFL ready these days. Having a sharp offensive minded new HC will certainly help.

We got lucky with Ben. With Bradshaw we had the first pick in the draft because we were the worst team in the league - so it was hard to miss on that pick.

    A disgruntled Harbaugh;

All I gotta say is that the Steelers have been on the receiving end of plenty of questionable calls that led to losses.

NFL Openly Admits Robbing Ravens Against Steelers as John Harbaugh Drops Update on Travis Jones Penalty

The Baltimore Ravens lost 27‑22 to their long-time division rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers, handing Pittsburgh the lead in the AFC North. But the defeat stung even more because of a mistake by the game officials. And it’s one that even they might want to take back.

“The NFL did say the Travis Jones penalty on the field goal was the wrong call. #Ravens,” reporter Luke Jones posted on his social media handle X.

While the Ravens struggled to seize plenty of key moments, this critical error took place in the second quarter and directly helped set up a scoring drive for the Steelers, changing the complexion of the first half. The specific play in question involved Ravens defensive tackle Travis Jones. During a 32-yard field goal attempt by the Steelers, Jones was flagged for unnecessary roughness.

The officials ruled that Jones made illegal, forcible contact with Pittsburgh’s long snapper, Christian Kuntz. This resulted in a costly 15-yard penalty and an automatic first down for the Steelers, giving them new life deep in Baltimore territory. Pittsburgh promptly capitalized on the mistake, scoring a 6-yard rushing touchdown on the very next play.

A day later, John Harbaugh acknowledges the Isaiah Likely ruling remains “as clear as mud.” He did have a conversation with the league about it and still doesn’t understand the explanation.

The NFL did say the Travis Jones penalty on the field goal was the wrong call. #Ravens

    — Luke Jones (@BaltimoreLuke) December 8, 2025

However, replays told a different story. They clearly showed Jones merely running hard through the line, splitting the gap to try and block the kick. There appeared to be no forceful contact with Kuntz’s head or neck area.

Jones was simply rushing the A-gap, and the long snapper happened to fall, a common occurrence on nearly every kick. But this mistake on the referee’s end did cost the Ravens 4 points.

In a rare move, John Harbaugh, General Manager Eric DeCosta, and former NFL referee Tony Michalek requested a phone call with the league to discuss the three critical calls that went against them. They spoke with NFL senior VP of officiating administration Perry Fewell and rules analyst Walt Anderson. During that conversation, the league confirmed that the penalty on Travis Jones was indeed incorrect. Harbaugh was allowed to disclose this publicly, saying, “It was the wrong call. It should not have been called.”

Next, he broadened his focus to include other calls through the game.

Harbaugh has less clarity about the other multiple missed calls
Late in the fourth quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely appeared to secure a touchdown, taking a couple of steps after catching the ball. The referee initially signaled a score, but an instant replay review overturned it, ruling it an incomplete pass, as Likely lost control before taking a third step. The reversal proved pivotal in Baltimore’s eventual 27‑22 defeat, with quarterback Lamar Jackson and others believing Likely maintained possession long enough before Pittsburgh’s Joey Porter Jr. forced the ball loose.

As per the call, Harbaugh said he appreciated the conversation but remained “not comfortable” with the explanations, calling them “about as clear as mud.” The Ravens also plan to write to the league regarding a holding penalty on the Steelers’ final punt, which pushed Baltimore back from their own 44 to the 26-yard line, further complicating their game-winning drive.

The Ravens’ offense struggled to capitalize after the Likely reversal. They managed short completions to Derrick Henry, Rasheen Ali, and Zay Flowers, but setbacks like a holding penalty on Andrew Vorhees and a crucial sack of Jackson on the Hail Mary attempt prevented a comeback. Harbaugh admitted there were communication and execution issues on the coaching and player side, noting formations and play calls didn’t go as planned in critical moments.

I guess the Difference of Having a two time MVP of the league as Your Qb is not a difference.
Tell me honestly how many games the Ravens win with K. Pickett, Mason Rudolph, J. Fields, old Wilson, and old Rodgers.
Well before you answer, remember we have beaten them with almost all those Qbs.

Uggghhhh. Harbaugh is so OVERRATED. Every time his teams face adversity or have a run of injuries, they fold like a cheap suit.

Sure Tomlin teams have not won a playoff game in whatever but most of those teams shouldn't have even been in the playoffs. They should've won six games and picked in the top 12 of the draft.

Tomlin made the playoffs with the third string QB. He made the playoffs one year playing guys off the street at LB. I think another year it was guys off the street at DB. One year he played dudes who were out of football the following year at WR in the AFC Championship game. Aaron Rodgers claimed he couldn't win regular season games with inexperienced WRs. Mike Tomlin almost won a SB with them.

    Just saying.

Harbaugh and the Ravens would struggle to go 4-13 with the post Ben QB's that Tomlin has won with.
