Oh, for sure. I think all Steelers fans and most football fans want to see Kraft and Darth Hoodie cry in their beer.

Does the above mean we can make Bellichek eat chili made from his parents? "I made you eat your parents, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah!"

Hernandez Released ... from the Patriots

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/26/patriots-dump-aaron-hernandez/

"Second, the move prevents the Patriots from ever recovering a penny of the $12.5 million signing bonus from his 2012 contract extension worth a total of $39 million. It remains to be seen whether the Patriots will try to avoid paying $3.25 million in a deferred payment due on March 31, 2014, and whether they’ll try to wipe out base-salary guaranteed of $1.323 million in 2013 and $1.137 million in 2014."

Wow, the Pats released him already. I must admit, I did not see that coming. I assume the Pats must know something the media doesn't yet.

On a side note, why wouldn't you schedule to turn yourself in like many other athletes do? Why give the media the photo-op of getting put into the squad car over an Obstruction charge?

From the pic I saw it looks like he cut his own arms off to also obstruct justice. Maybe that's why they released him. I think you have to at least have arms to be eligible to play in the NFL.

The Authorities did not give Hernandez that option. It was decided that once they were ready to execute the warrant, they'd go and pick him up.

I have never heard of this.

Also, the search warrant and evidence taken from his home are now sealed. We won't be told what they were looking for, or what they found.

For mere mortals, maybe. But you're forgetting that they have the master: Bill Belichick would find a way to use an armless receiver. Maybe he could have him block punts or field goals, and dive in front of the ball like a seal.

You have to think this is going to end up being significantly worse than a simple obstruction charge.

As someone else said, he wasn't given that option. That's unusual for celebs, but I think the reason the police did it the way they did is because Hernandez simply refused to cooperate with them, so they sent him a message by tipping off the media and then dragging him out in cuffs. I think this was all about sending a message. My guess is that he's been acting like a punk towards the cops the whole time. Seems to be his MO

Ok, so look what the media does for the patriots "Former" Patriots player charged with murder.

However, he was just released from the team today after being charged. If this was any other team in the NFL, it wouldn't say former. It'd associate him with the team for a few days at least.
