Trouble in paradise? Maybe the love for ARod is starting to wane.

Rodgers has a long history of throwing everyone but himself under the bus. I would tend to believe PF over Rodgers.

Problem is, he's thrown himself under the bus.
Pat is sort of on the outs, but nobody other than Washington is taking his place.
And Washington is the blocking TE who can catch... so he's not really a replacement.

Can someone please send out a search party for Muth. At least print his picture on the back of milk cartons. This guy needs to be playing most of the TE snaps.

I can’t find the full clip, but it has me wondering.

Rodgers mentioned things that should already be happening for receivers attending the film room, which raises the question: why say it unless they’re not?

He also talked about receivers getting extra time afterward. You’d think every receiver would want that. So apparently some are not.

I noticed Cowgirls coach benched Pickens for missing the bus. Why didn’t Tomlin ever do that to Pickens? And what other receivers get away with stuff?

Pat even said the receivers are the problem.

So is the locker room actually under control? Or are some guys just showing up for a check?

I read that quote as, everyone is at the film sessions, so they should know the routes being called. I feel like he's saying the routes aren't being run correctly even though everyone is there for the film sessions.

Back to the issue of execution.

Look at the deep ball to Roman Wilson last week. Wilson was open, but instead of running the red line he bent his route inwards. Those details are huge. Or Austin lining up incorrectly on the scrambled by Mason. Instead of having first and 10 inside the 50 we end up 3rd and long. Dumb crap professionals are doing on the field are killing us. This is stuff they learned as children

WRs need to show out on the field. If the ball is anywhere in your zip code, jump, dive, do whatever you got a do but go for it. Even if you can’t get it and it’s the QBs fault at least you show the ♥️ to go for it. You already have the talent, but are you hungry to win. Is it in your heart n soul?

    Not seeing it. IMO

Sad in the world of soundbites things can get so distorted. I wouldn't want to face the press in any public setting. Too easy a target for misquoting and misinterpretation.

There's never been accountability by Tomlin. He lets the players do whatever they want. Pickens was an idiot but manageable, just not by Tomlin, who refused to hold him accountable.
Some of these players are literally like children. If there's no discipline, they'll keep pushing further and further. Hold them accountable though and it usually stops.
I don't think Pickens ever would have been happy here though. He wouldn't have half the stats he has now and his behaviour would have kept getting worse and worse.

A better coach would have adapted the offense to take advantage of having Pickens and Metcalf. Take Bill Cowher as an example. Sure, he had a preferred approach, but He got the Steelers to the Super Bowl in 1995 because he was willing to adapt to his available talent. They lost Rod Woodson in the opener, so he moved Carnell Lake to corner and adapted on defense and offense. They didn't have an elite back with Barry Foster gone, but they did have a deep group of receivers and an offensive line that protected the passer extremely well, so they opened things up.

Tomlin could have made similar adjustments to fit his current team, but he refuses to do such things.
