Tomlin maybe didnt have the stomach for it after dealing with AB but more than that, Pickens wanted out once we brought DK in.

Very possible with Tomlin. More the reason that maybe he just needs a break or new environment. Also all the rumblings of a loose ship sounds like he is doing it to himself.

I think the lack of any real offense was more the reason he wanted out than DK arriving. DK could have been helpful to GP if the Steelers ran an offense that utilized their talents. Him and Cee Dee seem to be doing just fine.

I think GP is a knucklehead, but it's hard to flame him too much when he's a phenomenal talent that was being limited with bad offenses and QBs. His next contract went through the roof in half a season of football compared to 3 years here. He didn't go about it the right way, but I can't completely blame him.

Trying to imagine Joe Greene telling the media about something an opposing QB did to him. I can't.

FWIW, I think we really saw this in full force with DJ.

The lack of offense and KP's inability to throw TDs seemed to just break him mentally.

They just don't make them like Greene anymore.

Hell, they only made them like Greene once back then.

Interesting how pathetic Steelers fans can get when they don't get their needs met.
Tommy Maddox back in 2005 had his house vandalized after the Jacksonville debacle.

This year, I've seen some nasty comments about TJ Watt in a year where I've seen nothing but chip blocks on him 90% of the season because the rest of the defense is horrible.

Cam Heyward, who is one of the most generous people in football who is Walter Peyton Man of the Year, is being treated like a bum because he is likely tired of the **** show Tomlin is running.

Last year, idiot Ohio State fans threatened Ryan Day after the loss to Michigan to where he had to have security at his house.

I don't know what the hell you mid-west dumbasses eat or drink over there but your loyalty and common sense is dog **** alot of the times.

Pay attention to the details and stop thinking like a spoiled child. Context is important when people do things.

So once again, the Steelers were letting players under contract force their way out, leaving the team to make a bad trade. The correct response would have been to adapt the offense to utilize both Metcalf and Pickens properly. Show the receivers the numbers the Brown and Davis put up in Smith's offense in 2020.

I agree that Tomlin might not have the stomach for that sort of effort any more, which is why it is past time for him to go.

Cam Heyward seems to be a very good man away from the game. He has also displayed the sort of selfishness that makes him a poor captain this season. Both things can be and are true.

Forget the running back and lay out Allen on every single one of those option plays. Just hit him and hit him and hit him until he’s out or they quit running the play.

Didn't that lead to Henry putting up monster numbers?

Did y'all not do that with pickens?

And it's funny you say you don't care to make a thread about DK penalty because he's not a captain. yet you make ones about pickens. ..... dude pickens is so bad in your head you can't act normal.

I was referring to 2023 season. It got harder when the Ravens signed Henry in '24.

In the only matchup in 2023,their receiver had were a dumpster fire in that game with 6 drops in the first half and many of those would been for big gain

Seems like you in the Midwest and the state of PA like to go after their sports people when they lose. You're bums. Stop messing with people personal lives. This is about football operations not personal ****.

So you'd keep your mouth shut if you knew what was good for you buddy!

Players putting the team first? Haven't seen that in decades and now it's gone from NCAA pro football as well. It's all about themselves.

Once again many in the local media said it was the organization that wanted Pickens gone.
