The Steelers should've kept George Pickens for this season

    Nope

I just don’t waste time on foolishness

I prefer to think on my own but I realize not everyone can do that so they post other people’s thoughts

This was a Steelers decision not Rodgers I sure wouldn't rely on Florio and Poni for the truth.

I often see people saying Pickens would only have 400 yards in this offense but I think this is said as a coping mechanism because they know we screwed up.

I also remember a lot of fans saying g Pickens would crash out in Dallas because they already had Lamb. Hasn’t happened.

You see.. when an offense throws the ball downfield good things happen if you have talent to catch the ball. This Smith offense with 3 TE’s and a LT eligible is a joke.

Focusing on Pickens “taking off a play” and demanding justice is a damn joke. The Pittsburgh media also deserves blame. They were on Pickens the moment he got here and made sure fans hated him over a few minor infractions. Missing a meeting isn’t the end of the world. Being late to a walk thru isn’t the end of the world. Taking a play off isn’t the end of the world. These were teachable moments for a talented WR.

So instead of tolerating a young headache we got rid of him and brought in an expensive replacement who also takes plays off.. can’t win 50/50 balls or climb the ladder to catch balls that aren’t perfect and gets penalties after the whistle.

In closing, this thread will remain at the top until the end of the season or until our passing offense turns things around. Avoid it if it makes you upset. Watching Pickens shine while we rust makes a lot of fans even more upset.

The cowboys seem to be handling his behavior well enough. And hes made their offense that much more potent.

In retospect, we shouldve kept him. Maybe Tomlin is getting tired of handling ultra talented but difficult players, if thats the case maybe he should step down, hes been around too long and its really starting to show

A few infractions? One of the most fined Steeler in a 3 year span.

They need to get Marquez in the lineup…I don’t care how old he is…he is a proven NFL caliber WR who has done it the right way.

Roman isn’t doing much, and Austin is a undersized WR that doesn’t have any qualities to change the game.

Been saying this since it happened and I would say most of the board lectured me on it. A couple told me he didn’t fit our scheme. I was thinking to myself, what scheme is that, the scheme where receivers actually Receive.

Our receivers looked pitiful. Just pitiful, all of them.

The current team is 6-6. They are playing sloppy, stupid football. One of their supposed leader, Geyward, held out a year after getting a new deal, played like crap most of the season, and was too focused on jawing with Allen to do his job today.

They don’t have a winning attitude. What they do have is an offense that is falling apart because it doesn’t have enough weapons. The guy who should have been their best weapon is playing for the Cowboys.
So they severely weakened the team and ended up with a selfish, undisciplined team anyway. You are way off on this one, and your personal attack on the OP just demonstrates the weakness of your argument even further.

No, we don’t know that. What we know is Tomlin has been increasingly quick to get rid of players who cause any problems. You are also assuming things that don’t fit the evidence. We have seen the Steelers leak negative stories about players after they trade them or let them go to try to make controversial moves look better. I think that made him look worse than he was, so no, I don’t think there was more that they kept hidden.
