I would let him practice all week with the starters, and start him next week... WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOSE...

It's official I ain't expecting anything remotely promising this season! One game at a time steelers will be rubbing their crystal ball looking for help and taking scraps and getting embarrassed!

    Carroll easily.

Chip Kelly is already gone. I'd imagine that Pete is well on his way out.

    You're dead on.
The $64 question is now a multitude of questions.
    - Why have we missed on coaching upgrades?
    - Who actually put this roster together?
    - What is the issue here? this is a record setting year in a bad way.

I don't want anyone thinking I am bitter on this guy. I am on the money about him. And it could also actually be 100% on the money that the power structure is out of whack.
Either way, will a change actually happen? Does the owner have the guts to call that meeting and say "this is not working and really hasn't for the past 3 years."

I don't sit in on the Press Conferences anymore but for years I have.
Mostly from a Washington Redskins viewpoint, as I always made to the Pittsburgh side.

Hate to say it too, that’s not a very good Bills team that just kicked our arse in the second half. IMO

If you want to take all the steam out of Howard, put him in there with no run game, the staring LT on IR, and nobody getting open in the passing game.

Carroll. ARII doesn't have the sack to fire Tomlin. Even if he did, it wouldn't come until the offseason.

You're probably right. That genius, Davis, would have no qualms about firing him in season. I can't understand why they hired him in the first place.

I don't think many people expect the Steelers to beat up on any team.

That onus is on Tom Brady more than likely. Remember that Brady has some ownership there.

Wheres Rooney? I want to see the cameras pan to Rooney so I can see the look on his face! What a disaster! Pull Roger's ASAP! before he finds himself in a wheelchair! Put Howard in!

Brady's GOT to be smarter than that! This is the coach that made the number 1 STUPIDEST call in NFL history allowing Tom to win another SB!

As a player, he is among the GOATs.

As an Owner?! Not good thus far.

F him. I suspect he'll be crying in his beer yet once again, after being eliminated.
Gainwell. At least he had an ESPN moment.

He picked the wrong franchise. Even without Carroll.

The drafting has been substantially more promising over the past 3 years than it was for the last several years of the Colbert regime. How much is Khan, and how much is Weidl? I don’t know, but right now I see a big positive there and hope that the team could flourish if we shake off the Tomlin influence.

I think the talent on the roster, as a collection of individual players, is substantially better than the overall product we’re seeing on the field. That reeks of poor coaching.

Also, where offense is concerned it seems to me that Khan has been building a team to satisfy the ultra conservative, antiquated identity that Tomlin wants. That’s why the focus has been on TEs instead even finding a #2 receiver. It wasn’t a Tomlin priority. Passing is risky. Passing doesn’t satisfy Tomlin’s desire for a plodding, low risk offense.

Finally, ownership appears to be unwilling to make the tough decisions that are necessary to be successful in the NFL. If bad coaching hires are made, they’ll just live with the consequences of the bad decisions until contracts expire, or nearly so. I’m thinking back to what you said in another thread about our young offensive line - 4 of whom were drafted in the past 3 Khan drafts. You were complimentary of the talent, and harsh on Meyer. I agree. I also strongly doubt that Tomlin could have fired him this past offseason even if he wanted to.
