    1. Most telling stat of the game: Buffalo missing both starting OT's...... Steelers: 0 sacks

    2. Dam near every pass completed by Josh Allen was down the middle

    3. 249 yds rushing by the bills is just unacceptable

    4. If not for Joey Porter JR'S open field tackling in the first half, James Cooks may have had that 249 yds by himself

    5. Andrus Peat did a very good job in place of Broderick Jones

    6. Total coaching failure at every level

    7. Gotta wonder why Darnell Washington isn't getting his number called much during the game

    8. We need to elevate Will Howard to QB 2

    9. We need a new play caller ASAP

    10. Rooney need to douse Tomlin's seat with gasoline and hold the match in front of his face

Total coaching failure should be #1.

Two turnovers were killers, for the optics. The passing game is a dumpster fire even without the turnovers. Run game cannot carry the offense.
Khan needs to step in and rework the roster right now. Fans are booing, it's unwatchable, coaches have no answers. Khan needs to provide leadership here.

Tomlin is the greatest farce in the history of the NFL. Won a SB off predecessor’s roster and has had 20 years to create his own team/identity and nothing but mediocrity since.

The lack of sacks doesn't trouble me nearly as much as the failure of the run defense. The pass rush got to Allen multiple times. He's tough to tackle. The Bills just kept running the same few plays all day and the Steelers couldn't stop it. The Bills did that with two backup offensive tackles. That is inexcusable. Sure, they missed Harmon, but he can't mean that much, can he?

The offense failed to run the ball on one of the league's worst run defenses. Inexplicably, they came out throwing in the second half, twice on the first three plays, and those two passes handed the game to the Bills. Rodgers never should have started. I know Rudolph threw a pick, and I know he isn't good, but Rodgers killed the Steelers today. The sack fumble wasn't the fault of the protection. It was the fault of a dumbass veteran quarterback who should have known to protect the ball. That was inexcusable.

#8. Yes it's time to give Mason Rudolph his walking papers. Good Lord he was 0-2 with a terrible pick that was the turning point in the game. Could Will Howard be any worse?

I don't blame the QB's. Tom Brady couldn't have done much with this offense. No weapons or weapons not use correctly. If you are limited with no deep receiving threat, and you don't use middle of the field, it becomes incredibly easy to defend the Steelers. The defense has been atrocious for a decade. If Tomlin had any self accountability, he would resign. However, he has plenty of apologist even on this board.

Number 9 is a null and void framing form of filibuster. Why?! Mike Tomlin is the Captain of the Ship. Until he goes, he shall plot the course on how the Offense is run.

As for Number 10?! That isn't happening until 2027 UNLESS AR II actually does something drastic.

If the steelers have a L next week in Baltimore, the steelers would at least one 3 game losing streak every year since 2018

    I agree with the OP.

To expand on the coaching portion and coaching.

    1st Coaching.
We've let several upgrades pass by without so much as a call.
We've invested a ton of money and the coaching isn't getting anything out of them. They can't stop a pig in a narrow alley.

Who makes this decision where the problem is?
    Who decides enough is enough?

    2nd Players.
Look, our WR's aren't scaring anyone.
We've had scrap QB's for the past 2 years.

    3rd Howard
I'd like to see him too but he's been injured and they don't have a good defense nor a solid offense to give him at least a chance.
We have a run game but it is so one dimensional.
I'd hate to put him out there.... but we might have to.

    5 games to go.
I doubt anything happens as far as moves.

    Very well stated.

There were so many things in this game that made me mad and depressed me. The early turnovers looked very promising and the halftime score looked good. But it's like we go into the locker room at halftime and everyone starts taking hits off the bong or something. Because when they come out after halftime, we don't do well.

First possession in the 3rd quarter stats for this year:

    Plays / Yards / Points

    3/9/0
    6/19/0
    2/0/0
    3/7/0
    11/84/7
    10/61/7

    3/2/0
    5/23/0
    4/22/0
    16/71/3
    6/15/0
    1/0/ negative 7

And one other uggg point. Time of possession in this game. Bills: 41:59, Steelers 18:01. The Steelers are #31 for TOP this season. Only the Commanders have less.

This is also a new record low for the Steelers in the last 25 years. The previous record was 20:00 in a game against the Chargers in 2003.

I keep thinking the last second quarter loss was the worse performance I’ve ever seen. I mean it’s almost like are my eyes deceiving me? This can’t be the Steelers.

Then comes THIS, ahem, second half whatever u want to call it.

“Run over two hundred yards on the Pittsburgh Steelers? “

    Im jus, umm, flabbergasted.

I don't blame either QB's. We have no legitimate deep threat. Tomlin has openly stated that he doesn't like to throw in the middle. That leaves a very limited field for the opposition to defend. Tom Brady couldn't work with this offense. In order for passing game to work effectively, you have to have a consistent running game, and a legitimate deep threat. We don't have either. We have Friermuth who is effective in the middle that we don't use. Jonnu Smith is useless. Darnell for some reason doesnt get targets in the middle because Tomlin low IQ philosophy is not to use the middle. Omar Khan has to accept blame for putting this talent on field. Ultimately Tomlin is responsible for this putridity called defense.

Heyward needs to get on with his life's work as well as AAron.

The swiss cheese defense strikes again! And look, a new record was achieved! But hey it was only 249 yards...

Romo called Arthur Treacher's Smith a great offensive coordinator. :lolol: This offense has zero identity

The narcissist Bags won't look in the mirror and take full accountability for this mess. This is the team he built.

I used to be devastated after a loss. Not anymore. Now I just dust it off and move on.

Steelers defense better learn how to stop THAT run play. Going to be seeing a lot of THAT play used against us moving forward.

    1. Steelers defense just cannot get off the field on 3rd down. Maybe the worst 3rd down defense in the league.

Tomlin is the super rich version of Barry... fleecing Rooney to the tune of $15M per year.

I thought Peat had a good game too. I also thought the O-Line did a good job considering I don't think the Steelers ran a single snap under center.

Not sure why Mason was not put under center to run play action when he was out there.
