Queen has a big contract go out there and live up to it, how many plays did he make against the Bears.

    So again....

Julian Edelman has been saying this circa 2018. Other teams have caught on. It is the same song and dance. Now?! Pittsburgh's own Players are saying it.

Teams already know what the Steelers are going to do half of the time and have ways to counter it. Ben Johnson is just the latest example. Ben didn't say it publicly of course but the manner in which he attacked Pittsburgh's Defense is a very common theme that has been far too common far too often.

They are historic. Yards allowed, points allowed.

It's like one of the announcers said yesterday; Malik Harrison in, you pass, Peyton Wilson in you run the ball.

People got pissed when JaMarr Chase alluded to the same thing earlier this season. I am not condoning JaMarr for his recent behavior (to hell with him) but the fact of the matter is that he has played Pittsburgh long enough to know if the team has any differences. Rival or not, that should be damning if your opponent basically calls you out.

Sure as hell didn't help the Steelers this week.

Hasn't helped the Steelers since 2018 either.

Never mind that. Pittsburgh has been suffering late season collapses since 2023.

At some point in time, the obvious will need to be addressed. The question is when?! Who's to say?!

Grasshopper you really don't think. I'm tired of having to explain to you more than a 5 year old.

It's really easy to learn how we don't use players right.

if that is the case it’s not coaching. Because they know what’s coming, unless he’s lying. It’s they aren’t physically able to. Which means the Steelers need to find the talent to do it otherwise this is gonna happen every game.

Dudes going to say that against the worst team out there vs a good team.

I'm starting to wonder if he's Tomlins wife.

And you didn't answer the question if they knew what the Steelers were running how come Higgins and Chase were held to a combined under 100 yards?

Even if that's what you believe, it's still on overhead. Paying grandpa heyward and paying declining watt, ruined to not being able to get a better all around defense

Pickens proved that the Steelers don't know how to use players to their fullest potential.

Dude, DK might even break a thousand yards this year.

How to play against the Steelers.

Throw over the middle they won't/can't defend it.

Know before you go into the game that Captain "Living in my fears" Tomlin won't throw over the middle.

The Steelers do not have a passing game, they have a "don't turn the ball over" game, that's why there's nothing over the middle and everythong is just dink and dunk and throws at ot behind the line as an extension of the running game. This has been going on for years and everyone knows it, it's soooooooooo easy to play against ths team.

I did actually. Both you and STD had asked this in the postgame and I answered it quite well. Reason Pittsburgh held both Higgins and Chase well under 100 yards was because of execution of the gameplan. For that matter, according to the Steelers players, namely Patrick Queen, there wasn't much of any change in the gameplan itself. It all comes down to execution. There in lies the issue that I and many others have stated.

Expecting the Defense to have absolute execution of the gameplan, snap by snap, is not just unreasonable but illogical. No Defense is perfect; all the more reason that adjustments have to be made. For that matter, the major adjustment Pittsburgh made from the first time against Cincy to the final showdown was in the change in Personnel; namely the Safeties. That is it.

They played more two high safeties in the second game than they did in the first game, so you're wrong it wasn't just personnel they also got Flacco to hold the ball a little longer.

Kevin Dotson is a Top 5 IOL in all of Football. For that matter, those of us that scouted him stated he had Pro Bowl potential if placed into the right system. Pittsburgh had that for him in his Rookie Season. Mike Tomlin colossally effed that one up.

Pickens is a different case all together though. Lots of people knew that Pickens was this talented. The issue wasn't Pickens talent but rather Pickens behavior along with Tomlin's inability to construct an Offense that can maximize his players abilities.

The same thing is happening this season; Jonnu Smith, a Pro Bowl level Tight End, not being fully utilized. Not only him either. Darnell Washington continues to be underutilized and, for whatever reason, Pat Freiermuth is either in Tomlin's Doghouse or is being used in an inadequate manner per a game to game basis.

I was checking the comparison between Pickens and DK this year, and it really along with your stat tell you everything you need to know about how pathetic this team is trying to throw the ball, I wonlt call it a passing game because aren't trying to have a passing game, they're trying not to turn the ball over and then turning the ball over anyway...

The Steelers are totally lost on offense, Jonnu Smith pro bowler, hardly seen the ball...

Tomlin always blames the offense for losses but he handcuffs them, and then the defense gets mauled, THE most expensive defense in the game, he still blames the offense...

This team absolutely imprisoned by Tomlin's ego.

They could do that due to personnel. That was the real change. Personnel helps a lot. Beyond that?! Same song and dance.

So again, Pittsburgh really didn't change anything other than Personnel. Jalen Ramsey > Juan Thornhill. One is on the team while the other has been long gone. Nothing more to it than that.

Agreed, we are not using so many players to their potential. Dk, all TE's. Who knows if wilson isn't even being used right. Etc.

    Don't discount Broderick Jones either.

As I said, I am officially in the belief that his Fifth Year Option will not be picked up. He will play in out in 2026 and will leave elsewhere in 2027. He will also likely ball out somewhere else no less. Where?! Who knows?!
