Good, the offense flowed and had a spark with Mason under Center. Hopefully Rodgers continues to sit.

I'm really surprised. I thought for sure Rogers was going to go. Mason looked great last week. Hopefully he can make it two in a row.

Maybe a breakout game for our running game?

This is why Mason is on the team after all.

Wasn’t realistic for Rodgers to play this week. It’s not like we have a great line to protect him. He would have had more happy feet than usual and throwing the ball away quickly. Eventually the pass rush would have gotten to him and **** up his wrist even worse, possible knocking him out for the season.

I have doubts he even plays next week.

Probably my fantasy but I thought Mason had a chip on his shoulder last week. I think he wants this and will get it done. And should he do well I damn well better not see AR against the Bills.

Rudolph’s stat line will probably be 21/32 for 235 yards with 1 TD, 1 Int, and 1 fumble lost.

I agree. Few players in Steelers’ history have frustrated me like Rudolph. He’s the modern day equivalent of Cliff Stoudt, Mark Malone & Mike Tomczak, in my eyes. I just don’t see what a lot of fans seem to see in him. He’s just bad, IMO. Even as a backup. I don’t even look forward to watching when I know he’s playing.

But, I also recognize that I’m in the minority among Steelers fans. Which is baffling. Maybe I’m just wrong or blinded by frustration. Maybe they’re just overly optimistic bc he had a nice 3 game stretch a cpl years ago. Either way, I’ll never understand the love for this guy.

Steelers haven't won in Chicago since 1995. As such, my hopes aren't too high. Then again, IIRC, one of the teams MR2 beat in his 2023 run was a Seahawks team that the Steelers hadn't beaten in Seattle since the mid-80s, so...ya never know. Here's to hoping Rudy's got more of that kind of mojo in him.

As a general rule I would agree with you. However, ever since the game in Ireland Rodgers has been pretty bad. He gets himself in trouble by not staying in the pocket and seems to have predetermined to check it down before the ball is snapped. What we saw from Mason is the same as what we saw at the end of 2023. He stayed in the pocket and allowed plays to develop. Staying in the pocket alone makes the lines job easier. They don’t have to guess which way a qb is going to go.

I don’t disagree - my comment was more for the Rudolph crowd who wants MR to start over Rodgers.

    24/31 for 171 and 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 Fumble

    So predictable it’s sad
