Still, he's not that old and should be more productive.

If Jonnu were to be cut next year his cap hit is around 3.8 million.

Again my Friends the TE position has had 93 targets in 10 games, and that's not counting Heyward. Someone is going to go without. And someone will think a certain player should get more, but there is one ball, and only a certain amount of opportunities a game.

Then why did they trade for him and sign him to a contract extension if they didn't have bigger plans for him?

See what I mean. Someone else could say , why pay for , and draft Muth if You didn't have bigger plans for him, and Someone could say the same about Washington.
Needless of any of that, the TE position has been getting their targets, and Someone will have to suffer. There is only one ball.

I think TJ Watt and Cam Heyward are the most disappointing. I expected much more from them this season. Jonnu Smith and Thornhill didn’t think they would have much of an impact anyways.

You're confusing dead money and cap hit. His cap hit is $10.8M. Cut him and it creates $3.8M in dead money, saves $7M to the cap.

    Don't forget Spencer Anderson.

Watt is the big disappointment so far.

guys like slay are older vets we knew Tomlin was going to try to get some extra miles out of them, its the bargain bin with these guys, maybe they have a last resurgent year but most of the time its all down hill, as were seeing again.

with Jonnu, we already had a crowded TE room with PF and Darnel, somebody was going to get the short end of the stick. I wish we got another starting caliber receiver than another TE
