The argument was that he makes the situation untenable. Catching nine passes for 144 yards and a touchdown sounds like they are managing the situation just fine.

What the heck are you talking about I just posted a comment from Kaboly, and a video from Fittipaldo backing up what I said in the beginning .

George Pickens vs DK Metcalf goes Nation Wide.

Funny these 2 guys are trying to argue who is the bigger George Pickens Fan.

To Quote: DK Metcalf is No George Pickens, DK is good, but George Pickens is something special. George Pickens is one of the top 3 WRs currently in the NFL.

They are really piling on how stupid the Steelers organization is to have gotten rid of George Pickens.

We shall see. I guess if they resign him will tell, and if they don't, well that will also tell.
Nobody I know has said he isn't talented, what has been said is he isn't worth the trouble, and on a team he is desperate to get signed to, he already has caused problems in just the 10 games he's been there. Let's see how they feel about him after 3 whole years like we did.

It's possible Pickens is manageable now BECAUSE he's getting those numbers. If we still had him and he wasn't getting his numbers here, it might have become untenable.

    Let's consider:

It's right that Pickens is no longer a Steeler.
It's right that Pickens is a Cowboy.

    Win-win-win.

The Santonio Holmes trade by the steelers was way worst at the start even if they were lucky after that, because they had Antonio Brown in one of those draft pick

Holmes was clutch like crazy in 2008(not just in the super bowl)great in 2009 with 1250 yards and he was not a cancer with us like Pickens was and the steelers had only a 5th round draft pick in return....This trade at the start was way worse that the Pickens trade and this is not close

We can criticizing the Steelers at a lot of things, but the Pickens trade isn't one of them, unless you think the Steelers would have been a true Super Bowl contender with him this year, which would have been unlikely with a 41-year-old quarterback who's afraid of getting hit.

Today, Holmes’ transgressions may not have even warranted a suspension, never mind being traded away.

You can't admit it's stupid to trade someone for what you would have still got for them next year with a comp pick.

You can't admit you've lied several times throughout this thread to support your butthurt. (You literally cried over pickens handing the ball to another player. That's how soft you are).

You can't admit you were wrong about watt doing a peace sign wasn't about a trade.

    Anyhow let's talk your video.....

I mean who actually cares the Steelers didn't want a future with him? It's stupid to let him go, when you could have kept him for a cheap. And you're an idiot if you think he would have not helped this team.

Of course steelers won't admit they did a stupid trade..... you really honestly think they would admit that?

Lastly your video actually proves our points..... that you think the medias opinion is facts. "opinion", ray says that word exactly.

Weren't you the one who kept saying, "wait until Lamb comes back", in reply to when pickens had a couple games as #1 and was doing very well?

How many goal post you going to keep moving before you just admit
    - pickens is an excellent rookie contract WR
    - who's production is vastly more than silly stupid flags
    - we could have kept him for nothing.
    - media have their opinion. That doesn't mean it's fact. Not one player or coach has spoke they disliked pickens. Worse they said is being late for meting and showing up late to the Kansas game. (If anything that shows our coach is weak to not getting onto a player).

Oh by the way.... Lamb came back and pickens is still putting up yards and touchdowns.

I think i keep seeing pickens put up numbers as a #1, while being in the #2 position. And a lot here was hoping he would suck and have a ton of penalties (and so far the opposite is happening. Unless handing a ball to someone to causing a penalty butthurts that much and sitting out for one drive).

We chose teammates who cant produce over Pickens. Its hilarious and sad.. hilarisad, to see fans point out that he would be miserable in Pittsburgh because he wouldn’t get targets like he gets in Dallas with Aaron Rodgers at QB.

I think that’s a coaching problem and a crime against football to not be able to give a top 3 WR targets that would help
    your team win games.

I trust the media to report the leaks from the team. What I don't trust is the source they are using. The team has every reason to want to sell the narrative that the situation with Pickens was untenable. One, if it got to that point, that is Tomlin's fault as much as anybody's. Two, they have every reason to exaggerate and lie to cover for the fact that they made a terrible trade that is crippling the offense.

Sure, Tomlin just needed to coddle Pickens more get out of here with that nonsense. He showed up late frequently and would get penalties for being a knucklehead and was half an hour late for a game. That's how bad they wanted him gone they didn't care if it made the team worse.
