Pickens over DK this week.

I have heard from other members of the local media on Steelers podcasts that the coaches and teammates wanted him gone

It's not about me hating Pickens I'm saying what the media reported about him close to $200,000 in fines for one season, late to practice/meetings and was also late to a game. Many instances of him running his routes half assed.

 

Dallas also has a franchise QB in his prime and another Pro Bowl WR playing opposite of him.

 

Pickens isn't AB and was a locker room cancer and they were fed up, there is probably a lot of stuff behind the scenes we don't even know about.

 

Why do you say this? I would put Pickens talent right beside ABs. He is only getting better as the season goes on with his new team.

Pickens will probably end up with 1,500 yards and 12 TDs. 2025 All Pro WR.

 

My point is he hasn't been an All-Pro yet.

 

People on here keep talking about Pickens 200K in fines like it was all team violations.

Most of his fines were between the lines.

 

If he gets a dumb penalty it hurts the team doesn't it.

Adams embarrassed herself with that idiotic take. It was a terrible trade. Steelers fans need to stop deluding themselves into thinking otherwise, but arguing that it's anywhere near the worst trade in NFL history is a special level of ignorance and stupidity.

Your first step should be to admit that I'm right in saying the Steelers would be running their offense differently if they had kept Pickens. These claims that he would be throwing tantrums based on the targets going to receivers in the current system are ludicrous. The targets to wide receivers are limited because Metcalf is the only one they have who should be more than a No. 4. Then we can deal with you making the dubious assumption that Pickens did more wrong than we don't know about, when it is clear the team leaked the stories we do know to make him look bad.

 

I have heard stories like this from many in the local media, Pickens was often late to practice and showed up a half an hour late to a game. Stop acting like I don't know what I'm talking about .

 

I feel you would work at Starbucks just waiting for him to come in, and then spit in his coffee flavored coffee.

Yes, the local media has done a good job of carrying the Steelers' water for them on this one. That doesn't make it true.

 

Translation: You can't admit you were wrong .

 

I just don't believe anything out of the Steelers side anymore. We were also told he couldn't run the full route tree, and that was clearly bull****.

No doubt he's a head case, but so is every other NFL wide receiver. DK is a good teammate right now because he's still busy counting his $130 million. Wait until next year when he realizes the rest of his salary is not guaranteed, and his production has been ass in our offense.

Tomlin's inability to manage personalities will be back with a vengeance.

If it happens, I'll let you know. In this case, the evidence favors my side of the argument, not yours.

Pickens is having his bad moments, but they aren't stopping him from being extremely productive for the Cowboys. If you want to be foolish to buy into one-sided leaks from the team, go for it, but I prefer to apply critical thinking and a healthy mistrust of the team. Many members of the media will post biased and questionable information as long as they have an informed source feeding it to them, even if the source insists on remaining anonymous. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you simply didn't know that.

 

He also didn't start the game this week for a reason, but somehow this is not being brought up.

 

So why did the Cowboys sit him in the beginning of their last game??? Appears he did something wrong again there. I heard , but don't know if it's true that he didn't show up for a practice, or meeting.

 

He did do something wrong. He still had over 100 yards and one touchdown receiving by halftime. Thank you for providing support for my point.

 

But it doesn't support you saying that the Steelers/reporters made stuff up about the problems he caused here.
It appears that his new team is already having the same problems with him in less than a whole season, and he is looking for a contract .
