And then they post articles with clickbait titles ignore any context from within the article and spew the title as if it were gospel. A perfect example of that was the article about Tomlin and Flacco from earlier in the week. Prior to our first game against the bengals there was no film on a bengals offense run by Flacco.

it’s actually quite important. I know the clickbait title gets more reactions from the torch and pitchfork crowd, but details matter. There was no film on Flacco running the bengals offense. That **** makes a huge difference

 

How am I supposed to know? Ask Mr McBunch. He’s the one that made the claim.

 

I'm not buying that even if the Steelers did some things differently Tomlin isn't going to give the media all of the details.

 

There were more changes than he let on...
1. JPJ covered him most of this game as opposed to Ramsey or Slay..... 3 rec on 10 targets for 30 yds later (pretty sure all 3 rec were not on JPJ) and the rest is history

2. Kyle Dugger wasn't on the team during the 1st game

3. Of course, Ramsey at FS, which wasn't the case game 1

 

Yet, some fans wanted to make a big deal out of what Chase said after the first game. That's pretty funny coming from Porter Jr.

 

The only issue I have with this beside the name calling, is the fact that the Bengals Defense is horrible. They can't stop anyone.
They've allowed 120 point in the past 3 games, that's 40point/game.

What's different?
On D, we added Duggar (he's a keeper) Moved Ramsey to Safety (a much better fit), and Jame Pierre is playing much better.
On Offense, well Mason provided a nice relief..

I can't use the Bengals as a measuring stick. But I do agree to a degree.
Chicago will be a better test.

We still don't play much Man... we did use it a couple times.

 

The Steelers are also starting to use their three OLB package more, on that Dugger pick 6 Herbig was rushing up the middle.

 

The steelers need to sign Herbig to a extension in the offseason and release Highsmith if this is possible

We suck on Thursdays on the road (last time we play the Bengals).

I wonder if we do end up playing super-vanilla in those games.

Clearly something was a lot different this week re: pass coverage. Part of that is personnel. Part of that is also likely scheme.
