The problem is with Mason he's only good for a few games of playing like that.

By no means do I think the Steelers are a serious contender with Mason however with the way Rodgers was trending they were not with him either. I really don’t think it’s much different with either guy under center. Now if you are talking Rodgers from 4/5 years ago yes there is a huge gap.

One thing about Rodgers, he seemed to already be injured in his left hand or wrist during the warm-up for the game against the Colts... He's been terrible ever since, so that's surely a major reason why he's been struggling lately.

Only about 20% of Rodgers' yards came on passes BLOS. Rudolph had 40% of his yards gained from BLOS.

Sorry to say but when his wrist heals he will be back in the line up. Bringing him here was all Bags Tomlin so he will play.

I thought that Rudolph stayed in the pocket scanning the field more whereas Rodgers would hear footsteps and squirt which then became survival mode.

Rudolph did not look at DK, DK, someone else, DK, DK, someone else.....geez, is DK open yet? Lol

Rodgers looks a lot older than his 41 years of age. If I did not know him and you told me he is 50, I would believe it. He has that gaunt, fighting an illness look in his face.

He did and that’s not the first time we’ve seen him do it either. It’s the same thing that happened after Pickett got benched. Rudolph stood in the pocket and delivered the ball on time and with accuracy. The linemen don’t have to guess where the qb is going to be. Which makes their job exponentially easier.

One difference that I think Rodgers has made is in discipline. He has no problem holding other players accountable on the field. I have no doubt that it carries over into the locker room too. I see him as the adult in the room that Tomlin should be as the HC.

I agree, but last time Rudolph took the reigns Steelers did well and the team rallied around him. Reindeer is liked in the locker room, obviously. Steelers ran into a buzz saw with the Allen/Bills in the playoffs.... they were outmatched talent-wise... no way Steelers were winning that wildcard game.

It’s not about the passes but the timing. There is a very small gap in time when a particular play will be successful or not. All Qb’s go through a lean period when they inadvertently pick up bad habits. Rodgers seems to run around trying to avoid contact. Mason for now doesn’t have this bad habit and is delivering the balls at the right time. Take his TD throw to Gainwell. If he had hesitated on that throw, the DB would have been in position to tackle Gainwell and keep him out of endzone. The ball needs to be delivered on time even on completed passes for a play to be successful. If not, defenders get in position to take holes away.

What changed? Did you see how the guys were running once they had the ball? Refusing to be tackled by the first guy. The Steelers played a very physical game and destroyed the Bengals.

Not sure what exactly changed, but it clearly did. Mason appeared to look down the field longer. I don't see any sort of QB controversy, but sitting Rodgers and letting him heal fully I think is a good thing. Not just for the wrist, but also the rest of his body. He looked bad for 6 straight quarters.

My concern is that he REALLY wants to play the Bears.

many are wrong and HAVE BEEN wrong about Rudolph.

    Tomlin SUCKED and ruined him.

Mason actually KNOWS we have a #10 on the field. Blind Aaron could not see him OPEN all day long.

    Mason can run this offense.

Tomlin sucked it up with Mason for 7 years......

    Tomlin SUCKS

Also making their job easier is the defense missing two of their starting DEs, and a third going out of the game.

Their GM should be fired paid both WRs a lot of money but didn't do much for the rest of the roster.
