You can throw behind the line of scrimmage, but if the timing is off, the holes created by the design of the play will not be there. Mason was there with the ball at just the right time. Aaron has got in the habit of running around and the timing is off.

Rodgers has 19 TDs I think those other guys probably couldn't do that.

The players on this team probably like Rudolph more than Rodgers and will more readily rally around him - I mean, whether one thinks Mason is very talented or not, I think his capacity to give his team mates a solid morale boost whenever he steps in is probably an underrated/underdiscussed intangible, when looking at what he brings to the team as QB.

Rudolph was able to hit WRs in stride better today than Rodgers the last few weeks. More YAC.

A very good question. Mason can run hot and cold.

Could Rodgers? nope. Was hoping Rodgers would work out but he's a deer in the headlights.

Rodgers wont play next week. Makes it an easy call to start Mason. It's the following week where Tomlin will do a testicle check.

No, Mason's behind the LOS passes weren't better than Aaron's behind the LOS passes.

Backup comes in with a different vibe. No game plan for the backup. Mason is good for one or two games and then will return back to the same ole same ole

Rodgers has the team in first place and has 19 TDs that's more than any other QB since Ben, what are you talking about he can't do it for more than one week.

Mason has shown in the past to throw a nice deep ball
In fact, he did it today. DK got called for OPI to negate the catch

It’s pretty clear he is declining which isn’t surprising given his age and the fact we are on the back 9 of our schedule.

I agree he hasn't looked good lately, but he was playing pretty good before then.

Funny way how these things sort themselves out.

    Team is better with Rudolph.

Id say overall the first 7 games or so he played better than I anticipated him doing.

I thought Mason provided a decent spark and felt more comfortable within the system and managing it.

I just hope Aaron waits until he's fully healthy to come back. I think he's been hurt these past few weeks this latest injury took him out. I just don't want to see him return next week, try to play through this, and hurt the team in the process. If he's good enough to play and doesn't hurt the time, I'm ok with it.

Mason could not throw more than 19 touchdowns during HIS ENTIRE STEELER CAREER.
