Again, Do You actually watch, because when they do it, most of the people on here don't even notice when they do, and he still receives double teams

Bruce Arians was not a good OC for the Steelers

That is part of why he was fired

    Part

Before you ask me why do your own homework first

No, he was very good with us... They just didn't have the talent and the offensive line that Haley had in the Killer B era.

I mean, if you look at the top 10 highest-paid players when Arians was our OC, we had Ben, and after that it was practically all about the defense, but at least our defense was elite at that time.

Our offense could also step up in big moments, and Arians deserves credit for that too.

Of course I was watching the steelers at that time. And Arians was criticized way too much at that time, and it wasn't deserved. Roethlisberger respected him a lot too, and he wasn't happy when he was gone, and rightly so.

We saw later that Arians was a very good coach with the Colts, Cardinals, and Bucs.

His offenses had a lower floor and much higher ceiling, which I prefer.

    Nope

    His offenses were below average

He failed to teach Roethlisberger and hold him accountable which was part of why he was fired and part of why Haley had better success with Roethlisberger

It's not good to be too stubborn

Arians' record with us and with other teams speaks for itself. The rest is just noise

Arians biggest problems were letting Roethlisberger throw it deep on 3rd and short, and not protecting Ben with quicker developing plays.

Haley taught/forced Ben to check down

When Haley left Ben quit doing that and his play suffered

The Arians offense was way more dangerous come playoff time under Arians despite the fact that most of the salary cap was in defense

This is a myth since under Arians, the steelers were in the top 6 3 times in 3rd down % under Arians.....They had always a chance to have a first down in this offense even when they were in a 3rd down and 15...Under Haley,it was too often a checkdown even in a 3rd down and 7

    Let’s deal with facts

Arians offense averaged 15th in the league with a future HOF quarterback

    Our current offense is 16th

Arians was nothing special as an OC

Argue all you want but these facts are facts

2006 Colts on offense with Manning=2006 Bears on offense with Grossman according to your logic....They both had 427 points that year

If you think our current offense is similar to the one under Arians, you're crazy.

Under Arians, the Steelers were one of the best in time of possession(in time of possession per drive on offense) during the five years under Arians. They were top 5 in time of possession per offensive drive in four of those five years, and that offense was at its best in big moments: the end of games, big games, and the playoffs.

PPG doesn't always tell the whole story. This year, our offense is 29th in yards, last in time of possession per drive, and the only reason the Steelers are 16th in PPG is because they have the best starting field position in the league on average. In Arians' last season in 2011, they had the 25th best field position on average.

The offense wasn't any better in the two years following under Haley. Our running game was a real dumpster fire in 2012 and 2013, after being decent in 2011.

The goal is not fantasy football, the NFL is to win games and compete for title and the steelers have not been close since Arians has been fired
