The offense’s inability to sustain drives is killing this team.

Nah, Chargers in September of last year - 4/95/1. He also had a pretty good game against the Jets this year - 4/70/1.

I like Austin, but get Tutu Atwell vibes with him.

He’s better suited for 3rd WR roll and they have him trying to be the #2.

I'm not saying the Colts game was the best of his career, I meant he had a good game recently ;).

Meyer is a crappy OL coach - has been for years. Should have changed him earlier in the season when there was a chance, but like some posters here, Steelers didn't want to "disturb the winning formula". :roflmao:

With respect to Rogers, we all were paranoid whether he would hold up after getting beaten up due to bad OL play... sadly for all of us, the hits and his age are catching up with him.

I think he got caught staring at Metcalf running a deeper route on that side.

He's got talent, but like Blast said, he's better suited as that WR3 type that can be used to keep defenses honest and will occasionally burn you if you don't keep a read on him.

Maybe. Rodgers should know better than to do that from your own end zone though.

Prior to the Chargers game I mean. McCormick looked better against Indy and the same can be said against Green Bay. Broderick had an up and down game in both.

He's our smaller version of Mike Wallace.

I think he could be dangerous in a vertical scheme. Even if you didn't throw much to him he'd take the top off of defenses and open things up underneath and help the running game.

Unfortunately, we're not a vertical offense. Saw a stat last night that we were worst in the league in both intended and completed air yards per attempt. We're also worst in the number of plays per drive (but best in starting fielding position!).

I don't think it matters if Austin is WR2 or WR3 because they probably won't re-sign him after the season, they will likely get their WR2 in the draft.

As was Gainwell. Instead Rodgers decided to take a sack and a safety

He was. I just gave deference to Pat since he looked slightly further away from the middle defender and was to the side that Rogers looked after the snap.

Pulling it down and trying to duck and dodge out of harm's way from his own end zone wasn't something I expected Rodgers to do.

Yea, it's not that kind of offense. They built the offense for YAC and that's at least somewhat working. It seems that teams that are leading in air yards are the ones that have been way behind in games.

Same offense that the last 2 years of Roethlisberger....It was a major concern for me before this year
