The offense’s inability to sustain drives is killing this team.

And as the Defense gets more tired , the plays per drive get worse. Besides points given up, take aways, and sacks are the only real stats that matter toward wins on the D.
Let just use the last two games, the D is getting better, while the offense is getting worse, and most of this is on Rodgers. The plays are there, and he is missing them in fear of being hit.

Either way, no matter who is calling the plays, or running them, just look at the last two games, the plays are there, and Rodgers is not seeing them, or hitting them. After starting out well, He has regressed. He has played the last two games in fear, and happy feet, even when there isn't a need for him to do so.

Aaron has had a serious aversion to throwing TDs since the Broderick takedown.

I agree that the defense have been better in the last 2 games but before that they could not leave the field on 3rd down and the opposing offense had so many long drive

    Same song and dance Offensively.

The major issue though is the X Factor I outlined long before this season began; the Offensive Line.. and namely Broderick Jones. This team will go as far as the O-Line Performs and will also go as far as how well Broderick can perform. That is the key here.

Issue is, Broderick hasn't performed well within the past two weeks. Therefore, the Steelers haven't been able to do much the past two weeks as a result.

The point being you can’t claim Smith called a bad game because none of us actually know whether it was a play Smith called or a change Rodger’s made.

Sorry, but this is just lazy. The line wasn’t great, but Rodger’s was t exactly running for his life. The line has gotten better every week as they should be. Losing Seamalu hasn’t helped their cause either.

We are 8th in red zone scoring and 3rd in takeaways. We rely on Boz and splash plays to score, everything in between we just can’t sustain.

IMO McCormick has struggled as well. And the injury to Seumalo hurt the left side.

I remain firmly in the get a new OL coach camp. But Rodgers was hearing footsteps, and Smith needs to figure out how he wants to attack the defense.

Even when he had time to throw, he was sailing them. I read somewhere that it looked like he was favoring his shoulder. I didnt notice that myself but if he has a shoulder injury, that could explain why he has been off lately.

No idea if that is the case, but he played like crap. If he plays like that again Sunday, the Steelers will be 5-5 with two losses to the Bengals.

1000%. They have even sunk upper-round draft capital into the O-Line. It is entirely on coaching.

The offensive line has long been an issue under Tomlin, except maybe when Munchak was the O-Line coach. Meyer isn't good enough, and our Head Coach is more Pom Poms and platitudes than actual coaching and innovation.

The Steelers are 30th in rushing right now, and their 40-year-old QB is falling off a cliff, unable to pull off hero-ball antics to compensate. They won't be sustaining anything.

    That's interesting. I hadn't heard that, nor did I notice it in-game.

I don't know if you remember the play a couple of weeks ago when he took off on a goal-to-go down, heading toward the pylon. Two defenders closed in on him and you could see the difference 18 years worth of tread on the tires makes - Rodgers just kind of crumpled up on the one yard line. Rewind 15 years and he's either beating both into the end zone or diving for the goal line.
