How has that worked so far with the bring in vets for the Steelers? I get why Tomlin does it cause he can’t and has never developed a player period so he will never bring in a rookie qb he was gifted Ben and rode him too long after the arm injury. Even if they draft a qb as long as Tomlin and his coaching staff are there they will fail period.

You are filing holes but will have a massive crater at the most important position.

That is okay if the team isn't serious about contending, which they won't be with this Head Coach and not having a Franchise Quarterback.

We wouldn’t if we had Ben in his prime with this coaching crew. Heck, we couldn’t do much with Killer Bees in the lineup.

The same Will Howard who couldn’t hit receivers during the nfl combine when there was no pass rush. The same Will Howard who was easily the worst qb in camp. Mason and Skylar have way more upside than weak arm Howard will ever have. There was a reason he slid in the draft despite winning national championship.

We would not win a super bowl with Rudolph as our QB if our HC was Bill Walsh.

So was Josh Allen. So was Lamar Jackson. Hell, right now?! Jaxson Dart sure as hell isn't a complete product either.

QBs nowadays need to have traits and tools. The ability to process and diagnose are pre requisites of course but having traits and tools is what now gets QBs drafted in Round One. LaNorris' will be too difficult to ignore for some teams.

And here you thought LaFleur was some mastermind offensive guru making in-game adjustments:

until we fix this the QB won't matter. yes we spent high draft picks on this unit but there are 5 positions to fill amongst this group. first rounders don't always hit as we know. fix this first before we say our QB's can't do something or our WR's need replaced or we need better RB's. it starts with this group. the rookie and young player thingy ain't cutting it anymore. they have a lot of games under their belts at this point. time to look at upgrades.

I posted elsewhere to look out for Jones with Seumalo out for the game. He covered a lot for Jones' mistakes. Jones still has no clue how to defend against inside moves.
Sad it's taking multiple years to get this OL figured out.

His offense were still able to score 35 points in our field few week ago.The Steelers were used to having a defense like the current Eagles, but those days are long gone.Even the panthers allow only 13 points against those packers but 35 against us

We will beat the Ravens. That's like a Tomlin Super Bowl.

If the Rodgers we saw against the Jets or Bengals showed up, the Steelers beat the Chargers.

So when we win…the other team blew it. When we lose…we blew it. Got it.

The amount of people in here who rip the Steelers a new one for every loss and give them zero credit for any win is mind numbing. Why are you here? Seriously, do you know anything about the nature of athletic competition?

The more I watch Jones, the more I think “guard.” He is just too ponderous to handle quick twitch edge rushers. However he tends to handle straight ahead power better. Whether he has the capability to play guard or not at a pro level, I really don’t know. But at least it would eliminate the effect of a glaring weakness. I am quickly losing hope that he can make it as a tackle.

The Packers are a weird team they have too much talent to struggle on offense this often.

And if they beat the Bengals on Sunday they will still be in first place, and definitely not the third best team in the AFC North.

There was at least one scout before the draft that had Jones as a pro guard. And don't forget, the Steelers traded up to get Jones, giving the 17th and 120 pick to NE. (NE picked Christian Gonzalez at 17, who now is the Patriots top CB).

Don't forget their go-to weapon went on IR before this game. Kraft had 140+ yds against the Steelers. And I think Golden was out as well. That hurts.
