    Terrible. I wonder what the occupational mortality statistics are for storm chasers.

    Here's the video taken by other storm chasers from that day. Couldn't imagine driving around in that.

    I watched a few tornado clips this morning too. Here's one that I found truly amazing and captures the raw power of a tornado. Notice the animal that flies by at the 1:40 mark. I wonder how they are able to anchor themselves and their vehicle to the ground.

    Aww, you guys are the greatest. You might be on to something, BFT. If you, and 150,000 friends just donate a dollar, we might be able to get this baby. Hell, if we can just rent it for a day, that'd be fine by me. We can all take turns driving it, but I'll just need to paint some teeth on the front and drive it over to my mother in law's house at 1 AM and rev it up in front of her bedroom window. After we do some donuts in the yard, we can return it to the Tornado Chasers. :innocent:

    Yeah you would need an armored vehicle to pull a stunt like that for SURE! LOL! I really am fascinated by tornadoes though and would love to go out with some storm chasers and see one. Man I bet that would be a rush like you've never experienced.

    That armored interceptor had its door ripped clean off and lost most of its instruments during the tornado that Bobby linked the vid to. It's a tank, but even it isn't invincible.

    HOLY CRAP MAN! That's CRAZY! Were they not more protected than that? That doesn't look like the kind of cars I see those kind of people driving. I'm thinking more like what you posted earlier than this.

    Nope. That's mostly what they ran around in. They just got caught by a rapidly developing and fast moving storm and couldn't get to a safe distance. 2 other storm chasing crews nearly got caught by the same tornado and barely escaped.
