They're both XWRs. Its been noted since last December that the plan is to trade Pickens once they have his replacement. Considering they play the exact same role; there was zero need to keep both and considering they traded for/signed DK, Pickens was on his way out.

 

I'm confused why we gave up on using Warren when we got the goal line a lot of times

Said who? Because kahn spoke different. "You need more than one receiver in this league" after we got DK.

Sure some beat writers and fans winners if it spelled the end for GP, but not coaches, owners, etc.

 

They play the same exact WR role and neither are ZWRs. Pretty simple to connect that dots. The only potential ZWR on this roster is Roman Wilson and he's more of a slot/Z.

 

Rodgers was definitely off last night. He let the Chargers' pass rush shake him, but having receivers come open more quickly would have helped. It's just too easy to cover the Steelers with only one receiver out there worth respecting.

 

I distinctly remember Pickens running routes out of the slot..... just not very well.

 

Again kahn said you need more than one, for the response of getting DK.

Nothing of treating as to trade pickens.

 

We don’t need a #2 WR.

We need a #1 WR.

If only we drafted Lad instead of Roman.

I saw Lad at Georgia and I just knew he’d be good on Sunday.

 

We had another uga player we had on the team.

 

Not saying Lad would be a #1, just that he is much better than Roman, so far.

 

Ladd was drafted early in the second round the Steelers had no shot at him.
