We have a 40 year old qb so we are going to throw more?

I think the "higher than intended" pass ratio has to do with Rodgers to an extent as well. We run a decent amount of RPO's and there were a number of times you could see that a run was called with the option for Rodgers to throw it quick to a hot route of some sort. He's been hitting those options quite a lot. Which is fine.

The reason this comparison is bogus is because when people have concerns about Pickens, it is concerns about his CHARACTER. If DK misjudged what to do on the INT, it would be an error of JUDGEMENT, not CHARACTER.

The only reason they lost by two points is Cincinnati slid down before the goal line to kill the clock and kick a winning FG That was a touchdown if he wanted it.. The receiver was completely untouched and no one stopping him

If you want to play the game, than actually think it out.

Do you understand if he would have not coughed it up, than that's a fresh set of downs. And let's just say they go 3 and out after that. Well that's still a minimum of a minute off the clock...... so drum roll, then Bengals need a TD, so it would have turned into then throwing for trying to take off big chunks of yardage and then throwing for a TD. Which is harder than just going for a FG.

Thanks for playing, don't forget to tip your waiter on the way out.

DK Metcalf has 47 targets entering Week 10. To put that into perspective...Dale Robinson has 68, Jake Ferguson has 66, Troy Franklin has 64, Juwan Johnson 56, Elic Ayonmanor has 53, Harold Fannin Jr. has 51. All household names, right?

Metcalf ranks 50th in the NFL in targets. He is being used as a #2 WR

And just think we gave up a second round pick, and boat load of cap space for him.

Question is, was DK out of bounds while still contacting the ball? That's what I was wondering, and it was never addressed.

Dk is T-7 in TD's and 12th in yards per target among WR's in the NFL. I don't care that he's 27th in yards among WR's when he's getting it done when targeted and getting it in the end zone. His drops can be frustrating at times, but he does pretty well when targeted. This isn't to mention that being the only WR on the team makes it much harder to force feed him the ball when there's doubles and extra attention to stopping him and the defense is forcing others to beat them.

We have enough problems on our team to try to manufacture one with DK. He's been a fine WR1 for us and he should only improve as we add talent to the WR room.

At best it should have been an incompletion.

Why can't Arthur Smith scheme up some more plays like this for Metcalf?

    ??

The opposite, pass less, which is what the 2nd plot shows....

Also, a young offensive line trying to overcome bad OL coaching....

It was stupid we got rid of Pickens, especially without replacing him.

It's stupid to think Austin or Wilson could turn into a #2.

It doesn't take a genius to know that anything not named Metcalf is a backup or not on the roster of a good team.
Metcalf even has some shortcomings but is established. We just don't use him right.

Oh wait, Omar doesn't know this.
    And there's that "I don't know what a #2 is" deal
