Y'all back off. They said Tomlin did look into it. So that counts..... right?

I don't know, there's a overwhelming amount who despise pickens so much they honestly thought we were fine. And would reply week to week how we were winning games.

I'm not sure Rodgers would have been able to get him the ball the way he was throwing tonight, but tonight's game perfectly illustrated why trading him was such a huge mistake. It is way too easy to defend this offense. Austin disappeared until the ugly drop that turned into an interception. Wilson did nothing until his garbage-time touchdown. I'm sick of the nonsense about Smith's system. You can't win consistently in the modern NFL with only one wide receiver worth a damn.

Smith’s offense in Tennessee was a total anomaly. He had the best run game in the NFL, with Derrick Henry in his prime, to run play action off of.

    we got none of that.

Idk…it seems like half the Steelers fans I see online agree with & defend the decision to stand pat. I’ve had a few debates about it & just can’t understand why everyone isn’t on board.

We have nobody who can get open. And, god forbid something happens to DK. You could probably find a better WR corps in the SEC if that happens. And, I’m only half exaggerating, I think.

I realize this team is more than a WR2 away from being ELITE. But, that’s no reason to completely neglect the position for two years. Plus, there is no dominant AFC team this year & it’s possible for a team to be incomplete & still make a SB run, IMO.

And, it makes no sense to me to get AR & everyone else they acquired, giving the impression that they’re all in to win now, only to blow off such an important position. It’s counterintuitive.

Especially, if you’re a team looking for a franchise QB in the upcoming draft. You either tank & hope for a top 3-5 pick, or, totally commit to going all in. They have enough money to have gotten an impact FA, too. OK had every opportunity & plenty of resources to make a move.

If you’re gonna put together a potential playoff roster, which essentially kills your shot at drafting a franchise QB, it’s total malpractice to half ass it & not give yourself the best possible chance to win a championship.

There is no excuse for not adding another WR & at least one OL, DL &/or DB unless this was their pathetic attempt at tanking. Another Tomlin trophy or winning 7-8 games is a worst case scenario.

My stance is no… don’t break the bank for a WR 2 in a trade for half the season….but we had a WR 2 and we gave him away…that was a mistake.
