Lake was a safety. He moved to cornerback in 1995 when Barry Sanders juked Rod Woodson out of his ACL. The next year Lake was back at safety.

 

He played both in 1997 and primarily at cornerback in 1998.

Yeah, I keep forgetting that he was a Safety first. I could have sworn he had made All-Pro as a corner in that run though.

Not too big to say I made a mistake on that. That's even more impressive making the switch up to corner from safety.

 

That was the knock on him coming out though. never stayed healthy. Had a string there in college that he was able to after the ACL, but....

I don’t if that is a penalty as the standard is ever changing, but that was a GREAT HIT.

 

Yeah I don't get it. He caught the ball, and established himself as a runner, yes it was high, but not head to head, and the guy also ducked into the hit.
