Why do we care what a coach from 12 years or more ago thinks and says

could be that you don’t get what we are saying.

Winning is always better than losing. More wins are always better than less wins. Of the 31 teams that don’t win the SB, the ones that have more wins are valued more by me than the rest.

to dismiss more wins in the post season is, to me, loser talk. Lol

All I know... is that I was much happier as a fan when Steelers were losing AFC Championship games from 1994-2004... than getting blown out of the Wildcard round like we have been from 2017-2024. At least there was hope back then of getting to a Super Bowl. There's none of that hope now.

 

Maybe they are referring to new threads created when two rows down or page 2 a thread discussing the exact same things

I'm loving the current consolidation.

There's a couple who dredge up old threads. There is relevance some times.

There's a couple who can turn any thread old and new into a Tomlin bash.

There's definitely 2 that can turn a What's cookin thread into a Najee Warren Commission

 

I would love to see your yes your CBs jack receivers up at the line instead of that 15 yard cushion.

Because we hear fans say Tomlin ran off good coaches and only wants yes men, if he ran off Haley I don't think he would have good things to say about him .

 

But fans want to blame the coaches when Watt doesn't move around it's probably because he doesn't want to do it.

In the regular season yes, so you can get the 1st seed. To brag about winning a single playoff game in the post season is ludicrous to me, and laughable.
Also, I don't have a problem with how You people feel about it, but many of You have a problem with how I feel about it. Seems more like today's world of thought.

Been calling for Tomlin's head since about January of 2018.

 

You probably called for Nolls head also. LoL

 

I only called for Cowher's head after 2003 season... about a year as opposed to going on 8 years for Popcorn. Something happened in 2004 that changed my mind about Cowher. Wonder what it was?

Noll's greatest coaching of his career was during the '84 and '89 seasons. Talk about doing more with less. Never called for his head... but it was time he left after '91.

The chiefs have hit the jackpot a few times with drafting OL men the past few years. Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith are top of the list. Trey Smith was the steal of the draft in 2021 in 6th round. Dude should have been a 1st rounder but dropped due to blood clot health concerns in college. I know you can't bank on draft picks but it has really worked out for protecting Mahomes behind a top tier OL.

 

Hate to say this but none of us are getting any younger and death is undefeated, so... there's that.

 

A-freaking-men

We've been a playoff joke for over a decade now. We were and still are mocked by Brady and other Patriots about how easy we were to plan against.
Our coaching is subpar. We had the most talented team for good portions of the 2010s and year after year, others went to the SB.
It's true that now we have an average to just above average roster, so we need GOOD coaching to get the most out of that and we just don't.

I miss blowing teams out several times a year. We don't even get ONE good blowout now. Even when we win, it feels like we shouldn't have (outplayed, and severely out-coached...just lucky).
Then come playoffs, there isn't enough luck in the world to overcome superior coached teams. We have been...humiliated for about 8 years running. I'd be happier having hit rock bottom a couple of years, rebuilding, firing Tomlin and starting over with fresh coaching, ideas, youth movemnt. Feels like we're stuck in a "no REAL hope" cycle.

I just found Tomlin's new catch phrase "No REAL hope". Now we can bury the "The Standard is the Standard" since Tomlin has made a complete mockery of that and Steelers history of the past 50 years.
